"lovie i'm home" jack said opening up the front door.juliet came bouncing and down the stairs and wrapped him in a big hug. "i missed you so much." covering him in kisses.
he giggled and set this bags down "are you sure you missed me i can't tell?" jack joked.
juliet and jack spent the next week spending every second together before jack officially left for tour.
juliet wasn't going to see jack for a week, the longest they have spent without each other since they made things official.
today coco had come over to juliets house to go over wedding stuff and prep her for cocos next charity event.
"so tell me honey how are you feeling with jack starting his tour?" coco said at the dining table flipping through magazines.
juliet sighed and looked up across the table to her mom. "i miss him a lot already. i knew spending time apart would be hard but i didn't know it would be this hard.
coco took off her reading glasses and looked juliet in her eyes. "tell me why lovie? why do you miss him so much?"
"because he's the love of my life. i need him"
coco sighed getting up to sit next to juliet and take her hand.
"oh juliet i know you love him a lot but this is something you're going to have to get used to. i remember when i first married your dad it was hard for me to handle him traveling and shooting for movies for months and i didn't see him."
"so how did you deal with it?"
"it was an adjustment for sure and i felt exactly how you are now. i felt like i needed your dad with me at all times to feel whole, to feel like me. but then i realized that your dad was just one part of my life. an amazing part but just a part and even when i wasn't with him i was still me."
juliet nodded taking in what her mom was saying.
"honey you've lived most of your life without jack. so a couple weeks or months doesn't change that."
"i can survive without him, i just prefer surviving with him."
"i know and that's what i'm saying. even when he's away he's still with you. you can't lose yourself in a relationship. don't let a relationship define you."
"yes thank you mom" juliet said hugging her mom.
talking with coco made juliet feel alot better. it gave her a new perspective on the situation.
"ok so back to business" coco said. "have you narrowed down who is catering the reception?"
"hi baby!" juliet said to jack on facetime later that night.
"hey love. you look happier what's up?" jack questioned
"i spent the day with my mom, it was wonderful. sometimes i forgot how smart she is" juliet said smiling.
"well i'm glad. you exciting to come see what your life is really like? spend hours on a tour bus?"
"as long as you're there" juliet said winking at him.
juliet spent the next hour on facetime telling jack about the progress she had made planning the wedding before she went upstairs to get ready for bed.
