AH, THE NIGHT CITY was beautiful as we were on the 'top of the world.' There were so many different words I wanted to say to her that it wouldn't just come out.
Jinx pulled out a pack of cigarettes. I've never seen her smoke before..?She grabbed a lighter from her pocket and flicked it on. The lighter made all different kinds of colours. Blue, red, yellow, orange..
Before she knew it, she had realized who she was with. Me, of course."Ah, sorry, habit. I didn't realize you were still there." Rude much, Jinx? I rolled my eyes and teased her with a light push. "Don't let my prescience stop you." Glaring at her, I said. She nodded and continued to smoke carefree. It was like I was some sort of god/goddess/heavenly spirit(?) she needed to protect. Our relationship was weird in a way, but I didn't really mind it, or notice it at the slightest. Jinx puffed out the smoke from the cigarette she was holding, into the midnight sky.
How come I never saw her as a smoker?
Things don't come easy to me, if I've been with her ever since the day she was thrown onto this planet until now. Man, I feel somewhat stupid about that. Jinx spun a 180, and leaned her back over the edge of the building while still smoking her cigarette. Her braids dangled, swinging from left to right, and sometimes colliding into each other from the wind and the breeze. She threw her cigarette down onto the ground of the city and smiled. Everything that had violence, bombs, fire, smoke, killing, blood, and punching.. hitting.. mostly violence, had attracted Jinx.
Everything that she had seen with all of that made her feel excited.
One dead body that would be in her path would send her to mars.
"Eheh.." When she laughed, her stomach clenched. "Ahah.." I glanced over at her, and sure enough, her nose was bleeding from hanging over for so long. "Jinx, your nose. Blood." "My nose is bleeding? Awe shit.."The psychopathic electric blue haired girl groaned while pulling herself back up and laying her head on my lap. "I have a small headache." She complained to me, while I was too busy wiping the blood off of her nose from hanging over for so long. "I cleaned it for you, hold it on your nose like this.." "Like that? It hurts." "Powder , of course it's going to hurt. You were dangling off of an edge of a building.
All the blood rushed to your head , so I don't blame you. Well, I do blame you for leaning over that way, but not for your nose bleeding."
I ripped a bit of my shirt off , making the fabric strings hang out. Shoving it up Jinx's nose , I think I did it a bit too harshly. She didn't seem to be hurt at all but the way she flinched made me wonder if she was afraid of being hurt.
She wasn't afraid of killing people so I don't see why she's so afraid of me just trying to help her. Maybe she isn't scared, maybe she is. "Thanks." Jinx stammered. "No worries." Giving a reply, I made sure that her nose didn't bleed anymore.
"I don't mind helping you Jinx, it's just that you get yourself into so much trouble, it's funny at this point."
She laughed gently. Her voice was as if ten million angels were singing all together and I know that sounds cheesy, but it was true.
She meant the world to me and much more.—
A few hours later we decided to head back downstairs and back into the bar, where we usually got our food, or 'snacks' as Id like to call it.
"CCCHHHUUUCCCKKKK!!!" Jinx screamed at the top of her lungs as she twirled around the room like a ballerina, the one you'd see in those music boxes. Thierum came out and passed Jinx a snack since he would have obviously known what she would want since she's been around for a few years. Few, as in.. multiple.
Or, many. So many 'm' words.—
At night, I had to go back to where I was 'originally' from. It's not like I'm going to abandon her, I'm just going out for a couple hours. I told Jinx I was just going to go eat out with a friend WHICH she found suspicious.
There's something I've been hiding from Jinx for a long time and I hate the fact that one day, I'll have to break the news to her. I think she has caught on, I wouldn't be surprised if she had.
—
ONCE I GOT BACK, Jinx was taking a bath in the bathroom. Gave me extra time to change into something more comfortable. I threw my clothes off in our room and changed into a black T-shirt and Jinx's spare shorts she keeps in her closet. Damn, she smells just like bullet powder, and roses.
Sweet roses.Jinx came back into the room and hugged me, but she had no clothes on. I gave her some clothes to change into, and she did. Then, she hugged me again, and we fell back onto the bed. She snuggled up onto me and found her most comfortable spot easily. I pulled the blanket over us, but the thing she couldn't know, was that my parents, and most of my family.. are enforcers, and councillors.
