Your Perspective :
Jinx's smile was like seeing an angel for the first time. Her smile was beautiful, and the way her cheeks blushed when she smiled. That's how I could tell her smile wasn't fake.
She was beautiful when she smiled, and I think everyone else in Zaun thought so too — asides the fact she should kick your ass pretty damn good.
We stayed on the roof until midnight, where the stars twilighted over our heads. She stood up and put her hand out, as I helped her up.
She looked behind her, staring among the fireworks as they slowly drifted off and stopped. I grabbed her hand and pulled her off the roof, sliding down some of the tiles.
We hit the ground with a large thud, walking back to the estate which Silco owned.
'The last drop.'
We eventually made it, opening the door to the bar and running up the stairs, opening Jinx's bedroom door and walking inside. The immediate comfort I got when I entered her bedroom.
The smell, the way it looked — I was so used to it. In a good way.
"We're finally back — Did you enjoy it?" Jinx looked back to me, taking her boots off and throwing them on the ground.
"I always enjoy myself when I'm with you." I replied, watching her smile again.
"You're too sweet for me." Jinx laughed, sitting on her bed.
I slid my shoes off and my coat, sitting down on her bed, taking out her braids. I grabbed her brush which always seemed to be by her desk.
I grasped the brush and slowly began to brush her hair, being gentle with her since she didn't like rough brushing.
I calmly took a deep breath in and out as I brushed her hair, watching her body go up and down as she breathed in and out.
"My feet hurt from my boots." She began the conversation, I decided to reply.
"When was the last time you slept, Jinx?" I changed the topic, though she hesitated to give me a reply.
"I — .. I don't know." She shrugged, doodling on her knee with a nearby marker.
Once I finished brushing her hair, opening the blankets, I laid down and sighed. "I enjoyed tonight."
She nodded and smiled. "I'm glad you did."
"The fireworks were beautiful and I loved the sunset sky. It all matched so perfectly. You know what I like." Getting more tired, I turned over to face her.
Her long hair was pushed behind her and tied into one ponytail as she laid down and sighed, resting her body on the pillow.
CHAPTER 18, END.
