Jinx came back downstairs and sat with me for a while before deciding to say something. "Silco told me everything about you."

"What do you mean he told you everything? What is there to know about me?" I asked her, knowing damn well what this conversation was going to be like.

"About your parents," She waved the gun around like it was some sort of joke. "About your inner person.."

She leaned closer to me with a bright smile that could send shivers down anyone's back if you didn't know her personally.

"You see, I shouldn't make too much of a big deal about this, heh, I mean, I'm probably just overthinking! You weren't talking to him at all, maybe it was just a small conversation~.."

"Jinx, he offered me a drink and he talked to me first. You've gotten the wrong impression."

"But that's not all I'm angry about."

Jinx tilted her gun and dropped it from her shaky hands. Her hands were shaking to the point her legs were doing the same and basically her whole body was shaking.

"You never told me your parents were from the council — where were you born?"

"Za—"

"Try again."

"Piltover."

Jinx smiled and then tears ran down her face but she wiped them dry. She had really lost her mind.

"You we're from Piltover this entire time?" Her voice was getting crackly and I had tried to tell her that it was just a big misunderstanding.

People from The Undercity hated people from Piltover, but what I was trying to understand was why she was getting so frustrated.

Jinx grabbed her gun Pow-Pow, and sat it on her lap, brushing the dirt off of her gun. She inhaled, and exhaled, trying to be as calm as the rising sun on a tropical day.

"Can I trust you?"

Those words stuck around in my brain, playing on repeat like a person who only remembered the chorus of a song because they forget the other parts.

"What? Yo— Of course you can, I'm always here for you, J—"

"No. Nobody has stuck around with me. Not even my sister. She found someone new. I showed you that, didn't I? She's gone and she wants nothing to do with me.
You were the only person who held me close when my hallucinations got out of control and now.. It seems the only person I have is myself."

"Jinx, I don't see why this is such a big dea—"

She swung her gun at me and pulled back on the large lever to the point the gasses from the gun and all the machinery played throughout the gun.

Jinx held the gun to my head, looking me up and down.

I had enough time before this, to loosen my hands from the things holding me back, pushing the gun down.

"Is this necessary?.."

I had asked her with a frown on my face.

I knew she was upset but this was too much.

Overreacting.
