(adj.) extravagantly chivalrous or romantic; visionary, impractical, or impractical

Awsten was going to propose to Otto in what he hoped was a very romantic and thoughtful way.

Jawn and Geoff sat across from Awsten, smiling widely. "So does that sound okay? Or no?"

"I mean, yeah," Geoff nodded. "We're just going to need a reason to randomly throw I'll Always Be Around into the setlist."

"People request it all the time!" Awsten exclaimed.

Jawn shushed him, looking back towards the bathroom where the shower was running. "Dude, you're gonna blow our cover!"

Awsten chuckled. "Our?"

"We're invested," Geoff joked. "And it is also my show."

"I meant I wanna be a part of the marriage, but that too," Jawn muttered.

After a few more moments of whispering, the shower was turned off and they were joined by a smiling Otto. "Are you guys having a band meeting without me?" He pouted, pressing himself against Awsten.

"Absolutely," Awsten said, throwing an arm around him. "We've been talking and we think it's time we maybe look into getting another drummer. So," he scooted away from Otto, making him laugh.

"Fuck," Otto muttered putting his head in his hands. "This band is all I have left."

Geoff laughed before rolling his eyes. "Fine! We'll let you stay."

Jawn looked at Awsten, a knowing smile on his face. If they pulled this shit off, it would be the best thing Awsten had ever done.

He woke up in the morning next to a still sleeping Otto. Watching his chest rise and fall, Awsten was reminded how lucky he was to have him. Today was the day and he was so fucking nervous. Smiling, he kissed his boyfriend's lips softly making Otto's face contort. He let out a soft moan before opening his eyes and squinting at Awsten.

"Good morning!"

"Not yet," Otto said, throwing his arm over his eyes. "Tired."

Awsten smiled and kissed Otto's cheek before getting out of bed to get ready. Not long after, Otto appeared behind him in the bathroom, resting his head on Awsten's shoulder. "Good morning," he tried again. Otto only sighed and wrapped his arms around Awsten's waist. He always liked Otto on mornings like this. Not because his boyfriend was tired, but because he was just so soft and vulnerable. As much as he had his showman act going on, he knew deep somewhere inside of him, Otto did too. Awsten pulled him closer. "D'you sleep okay?"

Otto made a noise somewhere in the back of his throat. "Woke up a lot."

"'M sorry."

"Not your fault," Otto peeled himself away. "How'd you sleep?"

Not well. I was busy thinking through the biggest moment of my life , he thought. Instead, he just sighed. "Okay. It took me a minute to fall asleep."

With a disapproving groan, Otto picked up his toothbrush. "Just venmo me your tired," he muttered, brushing his teeth.

Awsten walked out of the bathroom, laughing. He walked over to his suitcase and unzipped the side pocket, double checking to make sure the ring was still there.

"Hey," Otto said, walking out of the bathroom. "Did I forget to say happy anniversary?"

Smiling, Awsten shrugged. "I don't know. I didn't say anything either, so."
