Chapter 14 - A Robin-Hood Project

Damian looked at Jason.

Jason looked at Damian.

Damian looked at Bruce.

Bruce looked at Selena.

Jason looked at Dick.

Dick looked at Tim. They snickered at the pair.

"OK, enough with the staring!" Cassandra blurted out, frustrated with the pair.

"I get that you both don't get along, but come on, you two. This is an important assignment," Stephanie continued, "Damian. Jason. All you have to do is meet up with Florence and talk to her."

"Yes," Damian grumbled, "With him!" he complained.

"So?" Carrie asked, "You have been partnered with me and I'm such a klutz!"

"You may be a klutz, but you're resourceful," Jason answered, "Demon Spawn is.. well...Demon Spawn!"

"And Todd is an absolute immature idiot," Damian argued.

"Hey!" Jason exclaimed, "You see that! He is insulting me. Can you please partner me with someone else? Anyone else, dad?" he everything but begged.

"No!" Bruce commanded, "You are partners and that's final."

"Fine," Damian grumbled, sulking at this point.

Bruce went ahead and grouped the rest of the family.

"OK now, based on what Cass says, our killer has been through a traumatic experience. And seeing how she hardly hesitated, Cassandra has deduced that she hasn't been treating herself to a therapist, at least not regularly. So, Carrie and Dick, you will look into any women, who had to undergo trauma," Bruce instructed, 

"Stephanie and Cassandra, since we are under the impression that the Tour bus Kidnappings have something to do with the killings, you guys meet up with Cass's friend, Dr. Weatherby, who is a doctor at the hospital, where the victims of the event were brought in. 

Helena and Tim, research and find anything and everything you can find of the identity of the fifth person on the death list and try to figure out the location of the murder. 

Selena, manage the company in our absence. 

Damian and Jason. Meet up with Florence Gregory, one of the survivors of the Day of the Fallen Tour Bus Kidnappings. Find out what happened.

And finally, Barbara and Iris, I need you to study the history of each of the victims. We already have a connection through Pin Cushion, but try to examine each of them individually. "

"Now remember, guys, we have one day left, less than twenty four hours before the fifth murder takes place. Today is the 7th. Tomorrow the 8th. We need to find the identity of the killer today itself. We need to find the face of our killer or at least her name. Or at least her reason for the murder. Now go! And we need to wrap this up before sunset. I need to meet someone, now hurry!" Bruce encouraged and all the teams split up to do their independent research.

To say the Waynes were frustrated would be an understatement.

Damian drove his car, while Jason sat in the front seat, chewing onto some mint candy.

Damian looked at Jason, who had his legs crossed and shoulders slouched, "Wear your seat belt!" he ordered, "And sit properly. Keep your legs down, will you, Todd!" he continued taunting.

"Shut up Demon Spawn and focus on the road," Jason grumbled, however he did put on his seat belt.

"Hey Demon Spawn," Jason called out and Damian hummed in acknowledgement, "I just realized, our mission needs a name. You're Robin and me, Red Hood. What about The Robin Hood Project?" he asked.
