Chapter 11
Stretching, Gema groaned lightly as new muscles ached. She sighed and meant to run her hand through her hair, but only succeeded in hitting something soft and squishy, which swore at her. Gema gasped, surprised, and she sat up quickly, holding the covers over her body. Vistos was rubbing his nose sitting up against the pillows, the covers lightly covering him from the waist down.
“Dio, are you trying to kill me?”
“No! I’m sorry, I’m not..” She bit her lip, blushing deeply as last night came rushing back to her. “I’m not used to waking up with someone else”
“No harm done” He replied with a lazy smile, yawning and scratching the stubble on his chin. Gema bit her lip, turning red at how embarrassing the situation was.
“Um, what are you doing still…here?”
Vistos looked amused. “Am I not supposed to sleep in my own bed?”
Gema blushed deeper. “No I just, you’re usually gone by now”
He frowned. “Do you wish I was gone?”
“No, no, I just…” Gema looked away, flabbergasted. “I just, am a little thrown off this morning” She said softly.
“I canceled my meetings for today” Vistos said, and she turned to look at him quickly.
“You did? Why would you do that?”
“Dios!” He exclaimed, staring at her in amazement. “To spend time with you! I assumed that would be something you would enjoy, but clearly I was wrong” He swung his legs over the side of the bed and she grabbed his shoulder.
“No! Vistos, no, I would….I would enjoy that” He turned and looked at her and Gema shrugged, smiling faintly. “I’m just, not good at this”
“Non” He agreed, cupping her cheek and kissing her forehead. “Come, we’ll breakfast on the patio”
They lounged on the patio in robes, and Gema found that she was starving. Breakfast was quiet, Gema surveying the view while Vistos glanced over the newspaper and sipped his coffee. After brooding behind his newspaper for several moments in silence, Vistos suddenly ripped the newspaper away and looked at her intensely.
“Why did you not tell me you had not been with another man before?”
Color seeped into Gema’s cheeks, and she fought to seem unmoved as she shrugged. “I didn’t think it was important-”
Vistos scowled. “Of course it was important! I would have…” He fell silent and Gema glared at him.
“Would have what? Never invited me here for six months?”
“Been gentler” Vistos corrected, his eyes flashing with something that looked like warmth. Gema softened immediately, shrugging as she looked down. “I had assumed you had been with Doug” He admitted.
Gema shook her head. “It….never seemed right” The rest of the breakfast proceeded in silence, till Vistos stretched lazily and looked at his watch.
“Since you have such an affinity for bicycles” Vistos drawled from behind his newspaper. “I thought we could go for a ride”
Gema smiled faintly and looked at him to find him peaking out from behind his newspaper at her. “Alright”
The shower water was warm and welcoming after a hot day in the sun when Gema stepped in, and she sighed as her muscles loosened up, and she let the water run over her face and through her hair. Her thoughts wandered to last night, and she blushed thinking of how insatiable Vistos was. They’d made love until exhaustion, and he’d still woken her up in the middle of the night with soft kisses and an urgent need. Gema sighed just thinking about it, and she dried her hair with a towel when she came out of the shower. Vistos walked into the bathroom to shower then, and Gema glanced at him as he came in, surprised to see him fully naked and erect, and he grabbed her before she knew it, and had her back in the shower. He kissed her softly as he peeled her now wet towel from her body, and Gema melted against him, her hands threading through his hair as he backed her against the shower wall. Vistos pulled away from her, sweeping her bottom lip with his tongue, and she looked at him through half closed eyes.
