Chapter 24

Sage's POV: 

"She's so weird." 

"She doesn't even talk? I would go insane." 

"I bet she is insane." 

"I mean have you seen those scars?"

"I bet she did that to herself." 

These fucking queen bee wanna be's are making fun of Bean. 

She just had her head down. 

I knew she could hear everything they were saying. 

They're just jealous she hangs out with our group. 

They've tried to get with all of us. 

"Hey Bean. How's it going?" I asked.

Good. She signed. 

Garren has been teaching us a little sign language. 

They're bitches, don't worry. I've got you girly. 

"Hey Girlie wanna come over to my place after school?" 

The girls heads instantly turned. 

They had disgusted looks on their face. 

I could tell they were fuming. 

I said that sitting down next to Bean and wrapping my arm around her shoulders. 

After class I walked up to them again. 

"Hey! If you ever say anything about that girl again, I will ruin you." 

I try to be nice and goofy, but I can get scary if I get mad. 

I'm hanging out at Nicks since Bean invited me and a few others to hangout. 

she invited Emmett, Ezra, Caleb and I over. 

Bean and I are cooking dinner. 

She's a great cook. 

"This is my Mom's recipe, she made me memorize it, in case he destroyed our recipes." 

Bean has been talking a little more about her past the last few weeks. 

We all love that she's opening up, but the things she says are hard to hear. 

"Well thank you for sharing it with us." 

She made homemade pesto with chicken and rice. 

The chicken is this weird greek kind, but it looks and smells so good. 

She's pretty serious when it comes to cleaning up. 

She cleans up after each step. 

"Kiddo the boys can clean up after dinner. You cooked." 

"That's not the rule.." She kind of muttered. 

"That's how we do things around here." Xander said sneaking a bite of the chicken she made. 

"Oh ok." 

"Thank you Bean and Sage. This looks amazing." Nick said. 

She just nodded. 

"Of course Mr. M." I said. 

"Sage, my name is Nick. You can call me that." 

We all were eating and Bean of course ate very little food. 

She never eats much, but no one comments on it anymore. 

We know it makes her really anxious, but she's still just so skinny. 

"Bean we should do a spa night this week!" I said excited.
