I suppress a moan of delight as I savour the ice cream goodness in my mouth. I give Leah the evil eye as she starts to giggle at me and poke my tongue out at her. She pretends to be shocked before poking her right back at me.

"Hey what are you doing this weekend?" Leah asks looking at me.

I give her a slightly confused look. "Nothing, why?"

"Ooh we should definitely have a sleep over! It'll be so much fun!" she squealed excited.

A wave of nervousness washes over me but I push it away.

"Yeah! That would be really fun. I'll um text my dad."

Leah giggled excitedly which made me chuckle. Her laugh was infectious to anyone close by.

"Ooh OOH, WE SHOULD GO SHOPPING AS WELL! We can get you a whole new wardrobe so you don't have to be so boring!"

I look at her in shock and pretend to be mock hurt.

"I am not boring. If anyone was boring that would be you," I say sticking up for myself.

She raised an eyebrow. "You wear like one colour and you are a whole 'nother level of outfit repeater."

"Hmpf," I hum and stuck my tongue out at her, glaring. I stuck another spoonful of ice cream into my mouth before flipping her off.

Her jaw dropped slightly as she pretends to be offended. She stuck her middle finger up back at me as we unconsciously start a staring contest. I could see Leah struggling a bit and I mentally smirk. A whoosh of aircon blows onto us and she blinks.

"HA, I win," I say smugly.

Leah glares in response which made me giggle. Her glare deepened and it only made my giggling worse. I started to choke on my ice cream which made her burst out laughing.

We sat there, Leah laughing and me trying to get my breath back while still laughing.

As I finally stopped choking and Leah was brushing a tear out of her eye, we looked at each other and it sent us off again into unstoppable laughter.

I couldn't remember the last time I laughed that hard and it was in that moment that I realised I was happy.

"Oh. My. Gosh! Fancy bumping into you two here." A familiar voice said as out laughter died down once again.

We both look up to see Miles already squashing himself into our booth next to me and Liam next to Leah. I saw her blush slightly and I smirked, ideas already popping into my head. Kai sat down next to Liam on his phone ignoring everyone, which was absolutely fine with me.

"Uhm were there not any other tables.?" I asked, confused for why they were sitting with us.

"Oh there we plenty but you guys are more fun then mr boring over there." Miles signalled at Kai who looked up just to glare at him.

"Why the question new girl?" he gasped dramatically. "Are you saying you don't want us here?! New girl, I am disappointed. And I thought we were becoming best friends." He crossed his arms and stuck his nose in the air, turning away.
