"Food? Check. Clothes? Check." Rachel said as she started putting multiple supplies in a bag. She picked up each item and put them into the backpack on the floor in front of her. As she checked each item off her list, her mother walked in, looking at the redhead with somber eyes.
"You're really going?" She asked softly to Rachel.
"Yep. Sorry, but I wanna explore the other floors. Plus, I don't wanna force you to look after me on this. You can't exactly move around much." Rachel said as she kept packing. Her mother sighed and watched as her daughter put the last of the items in her bag. Without hesitation, Rachel got up and took her bag, putting it on her back.
"At the very least, I wish you took a better set of clothes." Her mother said.
Rachel looked down at her flip flops, tank top, and shorts that she was wearing. Her white shirt and bright blue shorts made her stick out in the dark room. She shrugged and proceeded to walk past her mother, heading out of the house. "I'll be fine. I know what's out there." She said as she walked past.
"At least take this." Her mother said as she slowly followed Rachel out, using a wooden cane to steady herself as she walked. The young woman turned around to see her mother holding a small dagger. "At least you can defend yourself this way."
"Thank you." Rachel said as she took it before hugging her mother. "I'll be safe. Don't worry!" She said before running off into the nearby forest, fixing her long red hair in the process. As she ran, she passed multiple huts that held people similarly dressed to her.
As soon as she reached the forest, she slowed down and began walking towards what looked like a pillar in the distance. "The staircase should be this way." She mumbled to herself as she took careful steps.
The twigs and leaves were crushed under her feet as she walked. The eerie silence caused her to constantly look around. However, as she was looking away, she happened to feel something wrap around left her ankle. In one fell swoop, her body was lifted upside down and she was forced into the air before she had a chance to see what grabbed her.
"W-who's there?" She asked as she looked around. However, before she knew it, she felt her flip flop coming off. Her head tilted up to see a small caterpillar like monster with a pinkish coloring by her bare foot. "P-plehease don't." She asked the creature before biting her lip and scrunching up her exposed foot.
However, the pink creature didn't even acknowledged her plea as it before to nibble away at the trapped foot. A smile forced its way on Rachel's face as her toes wiggled fruitlessly. Her foot shook in an attempt to get free from her restraints. Meanwhile, the monster kept nibbling the arch of her foot, slowly moving its way over to her sole.
The smile grew as the ticklish feeling surged throughout her body. Her upper half began wiggling in the air as she covered her mouth with her hands. It only took moments for her lips to part and giggles to come out of her. "Hehehehehe stahahahap." She giggled into her hands as she felt the monster reach up to her wiggling toes. That was when she broke.
"NAHAHAHAHAHA! BAHAHAHAHAHAD WOHOHOHOHORM! STAHAHAHAP!" She begged while trying to reach her trapped foot. However, the caterpillar focused on the weak spot, slowly growing in size as it did so. Rachel kept laughing as it felt like more of her toes were being tickled at one. She attempted to curl, spread, and wiggle them to get the monster to stop. However, nothing was working. Instead, she was forced to laugh as the pink monster refused to let up its attack.
After what felt like an eternity, Rachel was beginning to feel like she was running out of breath. Her cheeks began to get red and her struggling died down. Her toes were red from the nibbling as her laughter died down slightly. Her vision was blurry from tears as she barely saw someone coming from the distance. The next thing she knew, she fell into someone's arms before passing out, relieved that the tickling finally stopped.
