Alice managed to walk back to Rachel with a new set of boots. A pout was on her lips as she took the seat that Perrine used to have. “I see that Lea put you through the ringer.” The redhead said with a giggle.
“I swear, everyone from the 5th floor is obsessed with tickling others.” Alice said as she looked out at the arena.
“To be honest, I'm surprised that she went with that approach. I would've thought that Lea would hate tickling with how much I got her.” Rachel responded while watching Perrine and Johnathan walking into the arena. “I wonder how she'll fair this time.” Rachel said, referring to Perrine.
“I don't know. It may be a rougher fight this time.” Alice chimed in while watching the two get into their fighting stances. To her surprise, Johnathan didn't stand with his sword in front of him. Instead, he held his sword parallel to his head, pointed in the direction he's facing. “DON'T YOU DARE USE THAT!” Alice yelled at the top of her lungs. The bald man gave Alice a glare before switching his stance. The black haired woman let out a sigh of relief before falling back in her seat. “The odds are not in her favor.” She said softly.
Meanwhile, Perrine was staring her opponent down. She took a deep breath and gripped her wand tightly. To their surprise, the announcer didn't immediately start the match. Instead they said “All losers from this match onwards will be facing the stocks penalty. Please make sure not to drastically hurt anyone.” Johnathan sighed as he took a deep breath. Then the announcer gave them the go ahead. As soon as the match started, Perrine waved her wand into the air, causing multiple pillars to be formed out of the sand. However, Johnathan slashed through the pillars, causing all the sand to fall to the ground. The brown haired woman jumped back, barely dodging the next attack from the bald man. She instinctively thrusted her wand forward, forcing the armored man back.
To her surprise, he wasn't sent flying as far as everyone else. She looked down to see his sword in the ground, causing him to tear apart the floor as he slid back. Once he was stationary again, Perrine rapidly swiped the air in front of her. Suddenly, the sand began to fly up from the ground around Johnathan, cutting his face when it made contact. Others just bounced off his armor, unable to penetrate or sneak inside.
After a couple cuts, the giant man charged at the chubbier woman. Before he could get close, Perrine pointed her wand to the side before sending herself flying away. She landed on her feet before waving her wand in front of her. Slowly, a large drill began to form from the sand around her.
Johnathan wasted no time closing the distance. He switched directions, rushing the magician down. As he did, he brought his sword to make it parallel to his eyes again. When he did, Perrine's eyes widened. She quickly shot the drill at him before attempting to push it harder with magic. However, the black armored knight was able to cut through the drill, forcing the sand to disperse from its shape. Perrine stared in shock as he neatly sliced her cheek. Perrine stumbled back as she cupped her new would with her hand.
However, before she could regain her composure, Johnathan grabbed her head and threw her to the ground. Perrine was gasping for air as she was forced on her back. “Surrender. You can't win.” He said.
The red robbed magician coughed a few times, recovering before speaking out. “I surrender.” She said in a shaky voice. The armored man stood up and began to walk out of the arena, leaving Perrine on the ground with a gash on her face.
“I can't believe that happened.” Rachel said as she stared at the arena in shock.
“It's within the rules. However, I wish he went easier.” Alice responded. She turned her head to the red haired woman, noticing small tears forming in her eyes. “She'll be alright. I'm sure of it.” The older woman said.
