Kanon has always been someone who shines brightly in your eyes. She's someone whose talents reach far beyond the vast galaxy, someone who's got the ability to reach and connect with her voice. Yet the mirror fails to deliver any of these to the owner's eyes.

You've been friends with Kanon ever since you could remember. She used to be a very active kid who knew how to lead and was easily able to cheer people up. To you, who only knew how to follow, Kanon is a figurative and literal life-saver. She guided you and helped you in every way you could imagine. It was almost as if she was a goddess— she really is one in your heart.

Waiting outside the gates of Yuigaoka Private Girls High School, you waited for Kanon to finish her practice. You've been doing this everyday since she joined this foreign student's so-called 'school idol group' and honestly, you didn't mind.

Waiting everyday for the girl wasn't something you found bothersome, instead, you found this as an opportunity to be able to keep conversing with your female best friend who attends an all-girls school. So of course, after classes and weekends were the only times you could spend with each other.

Something has been bothering you however. You found this odd and concerning, but you didn't exactly want to bring it up to Kanon when you felt like she wasn't ready to share about it yet.

Recently, Kanon has started becoming more timid despite doing the thing she loves— singing. It concerned you as you knew this is something the girl held special and really enjoyed doing. That's why you were happy to hear about Kanon's choice to join this singing group.

"Y/N," Kanon called for your attention as she stood in front of you, snapping you out of your thoughts.

"Oh, you're here. How was practice today?" You asked her, slingling your bag's handle over your shoulder.

"You won't believe it! I was actually able to sing in front of Keke!" She proudly shared her experience with you, a bright gleam plastered on her face.

"Really? That's good," you praised her.

Walking towards Kanon's home, you enjoyed the peaceful chatters of the random strangers that passed by the two of you as well as the city's bustling. The stars in the sky weren't as visible as the ones in the province, yet it was clear enough to be seen behind the moving clouds.

You heard the shorter girl next to you shiver, it was starting to get cooler as dusk set upon the land. Removing your extra layer of jacket, you gave it to the girl and told her that your uniform was warm enough when she refused to take it. In the end, she had it worn with a blushing face and brought your jacket closer to her, wrapping the larger clothing to herself.

It was peaceful the whole walk, you and the guitarist exchanging conversations with one another. The two of you were enjoying your time, occasionally passing around jokes until suddenly, dread washed over Kanon's face. You saw her turn pale and take a sharp breath. Her hand tightened around her chest as fast and shallow breathing overtook the girl.
