Kageyama's POV

Alright. This is it. This is the exact moment that I have been waiting and preparing for five months. I'm going to marry Shoyo Hinata.

~A few months ago~

"Baby~"

"Yea, what is it?"

"When are we going to get married?"

I just choked on my water. He rushes over to dry me off. My mind was too preoccupied with processing what he just said. It's not like I don't want to marry him. It would be a blessing. A dream come true even. It was just so sudden. So out of the blue. Has he been wanting this for a while?

"Wahhh! Are you okay, Tobio?"

"Uh- I'm fine. So, you want to get married?"

"Well duh, that's why I asked! So, when? I want to be able to call you my husband, and I'm impatient."

"I-I mean...sure?"

"Why does that sound like a question? And you have to propose first baka! We can't just get married."

"We can't?"

"No!"

"Okay, okay. I'll propose soon."

"Okay! It better be good, okay! And it has to be a surprise too."

"Noted"

So yeah, that's basically how that conversation went. Ever since that moment, I've been planning this proposal. It has to be perfect. I have everything planned and set out. There's no possible way this can go wrong. 

My plan is pretty simple. I know that's what Shoyo would like. He seems like the type to go big or go home, but he isn't. He says it's 'too much work'. That's coming from the guy who will spend hours perfecting his spiking skills.

 Nothing public either. He can get flustered easily. To be honest, I don't want to have to go through that hassle. I hate crowds, and people, and social settings in general. 

So, to sum it up, I'm taking him to a bunch of places he liked on previous dates or hangouts. Some places are really special. Some are just random dates we went on. However, the proposal place is what matters. Now get ready, because this will come as a shocker.

I'm proposing at home.

Yea, I know it's boring. We spend our time at home anyways! So why not go somewhere special and memorable? Well, I've kind of been researching what he would like to do. Of course, it's a surprise, so I can't just straight up ask him. There was one moment when he told me something that gave me an idea. He said:

"You know, walking around all day is tiring. The dates we have at home are the best! Because we can just cuddle afterward without having to go through the trouble of going home and changing and showering. All that good, not actually good, stuff."

He likes dates at home. A known and proven fact. I want to give him time to rest before I do anything. See? Flawless plan. Anyways, I'm proposing September 10. Also known as 9/10. Shoyo's favorite season is autumn after all. Also, since those used to be our volleyball numbers in high school. Brilliant, right? That's enough about the plan. Let's get into the execution. (Not the jail execution type. I'm looking at you Tom.) Cue mission 'ask Shoyo to marry me'!
