Meeting the Parents Pt.1

Sorry for not updating in a while :(

Hinata's POV

Tap tap tap

"But what if I do something like mega embarrassing!"

Tap tap tap

"What if they kick me out and never want to see me again!"

Tap tap tap

"What if they-"

"Okay, I'm going to have to stop you right there. Firstly, stop pacing. You're making me dizzy."

With that, I stop dead in my tracks only now realizing I had been walking in circles around my room while muttering. 

"Whoops. Sorry Tobio, I didn't realize." I say plopping back down on my bed next to Tobio.

"It's fine. Secondly, stop worrying so much. It's not even that big of a deal."

"Not a big deal? Are you kidding me?! I am meeting your parents, Tobio. How can that not be a big deal!"

"What's the problem? It's not like you're meeting them for the first time in your life. They already know who you are, so why are overreacting?"

"Hey! I am not overreacting. And even if I have met them, this is my first time meeting them formally. Totally different." I lay down and stuff my face into my pillow.

"Mh, sure, whatever you say. I'm going to go raid your fridge for milk." I hear some shuffling, then him shutting my door, followed by footsteps dragging down the hall. Groaning, I turn my head to where I have a clock hanging on my wall.

Ugh. I should start getting ready. I have to get there by 8:15. Don't want to be late and already give them a bad impression of me. If you haven't already figured it out from the title of this chapter, I am referring to my lovely boyfriend's parents. I've interacted with his parents before. Like when I visit him at his house, or when I run into him at the store or something. Except for this time, I have to have an actual conversation with them, and his sister, Miwa, is going to be there. 

I lazily throw myself off my bed. I walk over to my closet and look through my clothes. I need something suitable for the occasion, but I don't know if I have anything to wear. A suit would be too fancy, but a shirt and jeans would be too casual. 

Creeeeaaak

"You really need to fix that creak in your door. It's kind of annoying."

"Nah, then I know if someone is coming into my room without knocking."

"Ooooh, are you trying to hide something, Shoyo?"

"Yea, your naked body."

He flushes a bright red and I smirk. He always gets flustered when I do things like that. 

"Hey Tobi, can you help me find something to wear? Please?" I plead, giving him the sweetest smile, I can. 

"I don't know, and I don't care. Just close your eyes and pick something random. It doesn't really matter."

I sigh. "Tobioooooo"

"Oh my g- fine. Move over."

I walk out of his path and watch as he rummages through my clothes. He quickly tosses out a slightly oversized, graphic tee and some jean shorts. I frown. 

"Are you sure they'll be okay with thi-"

"Just put the damn clothes on."

"Fine, don't look."

~Timeskip to 8:12~

"Shoyo! It's so nice to formally meet you. I've heard so many good things about you."

"Okaa-saaan"

"Tobio, shush. Go set the table. Shoyo, please come in!"

I slip off my shoes and walk in. Tobio is grumbling under his breath. I hope his mom can't hear that. I almost start laughing. Almost. 

I walk towards the dining room. There Miwa is helping Tobio set the table. 

"Oh. Heya. You must be the boyfriend Tobio is always talking about." 

"Miwa!" Tobio yells.

"Miwa, don't be rude. You're probably embarrassing the poor child." 

"Wha- Okaa-san! He's not embarrassed!"

"Yea Miwa, stop embarrassing him."

"Oh, shut it, shithead."

"Okaa-san! Miwa called me a shithead!"

"Language you two! Uh- I'm so sorry Shoyo. Erm- have a seat. Please."

"Ehm- Pfft-Thank you, Mrs. Kageyama."

"Not funny, Shoyo."

"Sure is!"

"Not!"

~After the dinner~

"Thank you for the dinner, Mrs. Kageyama."

"Oh, it's no problem. It was so nice having you."

"Are you sure you don't need me to walk you home?" Even though Tobio seems like a bitch a first, he is actually a very sweet gentleman. 

"No thank you, I'm okay."

"No no no, Tobio go walk Shoyo home, and don't come home unless he is inside his house safe."

"Yes, Okaa-san."

...

"That wasn't so bad, was it? You had nothing to worry about."

"Really? You think she liked me?"

"Uh yeah! That's obvious you dumbass."

"Hm, I guess so...shithead."

"Please don't"

"I don't think I will~"

"Oh god."
