"I don't wanna leave Aunty," Tiana clung onto Simone when she attempted to get them ready so she could bring them home."Tiana, baby," Simone pried her hands from around her leg. "Y'all been here since Friday and it's Sunday now. I go back to work tomorrow and y'all have school."
"But I wanna stay here with you and Mr. Jordan," the little girl looked like she was about to start crying.
"Come here baby girl," Jordan picked her up when she did in fact start crying.
"I don't wanna go home," she started crying even harder now.
"Why not?" He swiped his thumb across her cheeks, wiping her tears away. "I'm sure your mom misses you."
"Because..." she sniffled. "Because mommy yells all the time now. And I don't like when she yells a lot."
"All mommy and daddy do is fight on the phone," Jr. further explained what Tiana meant. "Yelling and acreaming at each other. And it's loud, and I don't like when it's loud."
Jr. has autism, and noice bothers him— a lot. Simone wasn't aware that Tiffany and Greg were still fighting so much since the divorce was made official, and it broke her heart to hear that it's still affecting the kids. It hurt even more knowing there was nothing she could do about it. Tiffany and Greg are not getting back together, and as harsh as it sounds, their kids are just going to have to come to terms with that, no matter how much they don't want to.
"I just wish they'd get back together," the oldest of the three kids looked like he was getting upset now too.
"It's okay baby," Simone pulled Jr. into a tight hug, knowing he only likes firm touches. "It's gonna be okay. Mommy is just a little stressed right now, that's all."
She knows Tiffany is doing her best when it comes to being a newly single mother, but she also realizes that the kids are just a little bit too young to understand where she's coming from as a parent. They don't see it as their mom being a new divorcee going through about a million different emotions. All they know is that she's mad all the time, and they aren't developed enough to really understand why.
There was really nothing Simone could do but be there for her friend, just like she's been doing this whole time anyway.

*Monday Morning
"So... Mr. Jackson?" His psychiatrist took her wire framed glasses from her forehead and placed them on the bridge of her nose to look down at whatever notes were on her notepad in front of her.
"Dr. Hudson?"
"How was the meeting with your parole officer last week? I heard he stopped by your job."
