Chapter 4- Like a broken record..

Alya screamed even more “Calm down! You can do it! Fight back!”. Misfit stared at them. Marinette's originally bluebell eyes were replaced by blood red ones with a white and piercing pupil. Only Marinette’s eyes are showing the pure anger and hatred she feels but the rest of her face is hidden behind a white mask. Alone the look of her eyes was enough to give Alya and Nino chills. Alya looks closer at her former best friend and notices that Marinette's dark blue hair is still visible but now much longer going down to the middle of the back. Suddenly Misfit moved, making her hair swing a bit and Alya noticed that the hair is not completely dark blue. The color was shifting from dark blue to blood red the longer the hair was, the ends a deep crimson red. Nino tried to protect Alya and noticed Misfits earrings and whispered “Look at her earrings. They were now black with a crimson gem in the middle. I think that's where the Akuma is.” Alya nodded to that and started to question “Who are you again?”
Misfit started to stare even more than before and yelled again "My name is Misfit. And I'm your worst nightmare" She instantly tried to attack them with a hit but Alya and Nino dodged that easily due to the training they had to work better as partners when there is an Akuma fight. Alya noticed that her dress is now also completely white and the end of the dress is just like the hair moving into a dark red color. Misfits arms are also covered by the dress and the switch to red is starting from the elbows downwards so that only Marinette's hands are visible which appear normal. Alya also noticed she is not carrying any kind of weapon with her. Marinette’s pink high heels had also gone, they had changed into red ones which looked like broken glass. The once dainty heels were replaced by a horrific looking shard of crystal. While Alya was busy looking over her once best friend, Misfit was moving closer to them, leaving red powdered footprints behind her that seemed to just disappear after a few moments.
Alya stared at Misfit and whispered to Nino “We do not know what kind of super power she has right? She looks terrifying but she doesn't have any kind of weapon. She's only saying she will be our worst nightmare. What does that even mean?” Nino nodded and whispered “Babe I got an idea. You in?” Before Alya could answer Nino shouted at Misfit “You are so weak Misfit. See you've not even got a weapon to fight! Ladybug and Cat Noir will crush you in no time!.” Alya understood what Nino was planning and added “That dramatic look on you is nice but you're a bit out of place. This ain't a halloween party you know.” Misfit started to laugh at them and said in a calm voice “You know weapons which are hidden are the best because nobody sees them and I do not even need a weapon to fight Cat Noir. He will be dead in no time.” Misfit started to laugh even more and ShadowMoth appeared via the link of them “Good I hope you keep your promise!”.

Alya froze, there was no Ladybug, Marinette was Ladybug, and if she got the earrings...all she needed was Cat Noir’s ring.

Misfits laughter vanished and she said “You want my full power? You can have it!” She clicked her fingers which caused a black bolt to appear with a red light shrouding it. Misfit fired that bolt directly at Alya who was able to dodge it: Nino shouted again “That it? You are so weak, Mr. Pigeon is scarier than you… even we could defeat you and we haven't got powers!”. Misfit moved her fingers and unlike last time many of the bolts appeared, not hovering like the first single bolt. They start moving mid air and are already flying towards Alya and Nino at a much higher speed and force. Alya shouted “Nino watch out there's more! The bolts are vanishing on impact” and pointed to the dodged ones which were disappearing as they hit the floor and surrounding walls. Misfits' broken laughter filled the hallway where the fight had moved to. “This is not even a quarter of my power and you barely managed to escape it?” Misfit started to run and fire at the same time. The bolts fly directly at Alya and Nino, this time Misfit is not stopping when all of the bolts are gone but continues to attack. Alya and Nino managed to dodge many of them but Alya then stumbled due to her high heels and Nino pushed her out of the way. Alya screams “NINO! NO!” but it was too late Nino was hit and Alya watched Misfit’s mask as a small blood tear was dropping from her red eye moving over the mask to her dress into the red end of it. Misfit stopped the attack and looked at Alya saying “Not even close to half of my power, this was a good training.” Nino was down on his knees and started to cry silently, his eyes moved from brown to grey staring into space. Alya moved as quickly as possible to Nino “Nino what's wrong? Come with me! We must go!”

But Nino didn't move, Alya tried to pull him up but he became a dead weight, even worse he didn't even acknowledge her existence, neither did he care. He just knelt on the floor with wet streaks on his cheeks, staring at a blank wall mumbling "Alya...no...why...no" on repeat.

Alya shifted her attention from Nino to Misfit “What did you do to him?” she snarled. In response Misfit grinned. 
“He is living in his worst nightmare. Maybe he sees you dying or with another man or even worse. You will never find out what I show him but you will soon be living in your own nightmare”. Alya had to escape, she needed to get to Tikki before Misfit. She looked once more at Nino then began to back up slowly.

Misfit wasn't going to let Alya run away, she began to step towards her, Alya needed a distraction, and as if by chance Mr. Agreste entered the lobby. He looked around and called out for his son, not even paying attention to the upstairs hallway.
"Adrien, your guests and future wife are waiting for you, come out here at once" This got Misfits attention, she glared at Gabriel and hopped over the railing, landing perfectly in front of him. Alya took this as her opportunity and ran to Adrien's room, she climbed out his window, using a near drain pipe to get down to ground floor, ditching her heels and ripping her dress in the process. She rolled her eyes and muttered to herself.
"Girl I'm gonna kick your ass once this is over" and once she was safely on the ground she raced to Marinette's.
