"You've met good ol' Dennis, I see." Tyler smiled as he walked out to were Misty, Stacey and Dennis were waiting. Once Dennis had submitted the discharge papers, they had been told to wait at the front for Tyler to come out. Looking at him, no one would have been able to tell that he had, had two seizures back to back. He was the complete epitome of perfect health. To the point that one may wonder, why he was walking out of the discharge area. Misty could see Dennis' form physically relax, all the tension seemed to dissipate, as he unfurled himself. Hugging his friend, they shared a laugh, as Tyler teased him about being a worrywart.
"What do you think of Dennis, quite hateable yet loveable is he not?" Tyler asked Misty, winking as he referred to their initial conversation in the library.
"He does not look like very dramatic person." Tyler and Dennis both laughed out loudly at Misty's blunt observation.
"What do I look like then?"
"Ergonomics."
"What?" The friends, continued laughing completely bewildered.
"I get it now." Dennis said to Tyler, as he wiped a stray tear that had fallen down during his fit of laughter.
"Yeah?" Tyler confirmed, as he put his arm around Misty's shoulders, as though she were an old pal he had known for years. "Come on guys, let's get out of here." He commanded, leading the way with Misty still under his hold.
"The doctor said not to get stressed." Misty spoke up as she was led away.
"Really?" Tyler asked.
"Mmm hmm." Misty hummed.
"Then you better stick around."
"Why?" Misty asked, looking up at Tyler, eyes wide with wonder.
"Because you make me laugh and you lift my spirits. Can't get stressed if I'm busy being happy, can I? Also, look at that face, you're too adorable to let go off." Tyler teased, squeezing Misty's cheeks with his hand that was not over her shoulder. Misty squirmed, trying to fight Tyler off.
"You are utterly ridiculous," she told him, once she had fended him off. Stacey and Dennis, gave each other pointed looks before shaking their heads at the scene that had just unfolded before them.
"I get it." Stacey said.
"What?"
"Idiot." Stacey and Dennis, broke into laughter, as they ran up to walk in line with their friends. The four off them continued to weave their way through the carpark to Dennis' car. Tyler, Stacey and Misty were all glad he had come to the hospital, once they realised they had all ridden the ambulance to the hospital. Without Dennis, they would have had no transportation, and would have had to pay a hefty fee. Tyler turned his head back to the girls in the back seat, and engaged conversation. "What kinda music do you listen to?"
"Depends on my mood." Misty answered.
"Pop," Stacey answered.
"Bo-ring." Tyler sing-songed, wondering why he had bothered to ask their opinion. A complete waste of time that had been. Deciding that since they were in his best friend's car, he was just going to put on a random playlist from his phone. With that, 'Sun' by Two Door Cinema Club started blasted through the speakers off the car. All four heads, started bopping with the beat of the song as it played through. "I'm so tired," Tyler breathed out. Closing his eyes, and resting his head back against the head rest. Everyone hummed in agreement, relaxing along with the music in the car. Before they knew it, they were pulling up to the University.
"Do you guys wanna get dinner together down the road?" Dennis asked.
"I need to write something down." Misty answered for herself.
"Can't you do it later?"
"No."
"Okay, here." Tyler reached down for his backpack between his feet. At least the girls had the thought to bring it with them, despite the fact he had collapsed convulsing. Handing Misty a notebook and a pen, he motioned for her to write down whatever she needed to. Receiving the book and pen warily, she slowly opened to a fresh page and wrote down what she needed to. Once she finished, she tore the page out, folded it nicely and placed it in her laptop.
"I just realised you have your own backpack, did you have a notebook and pen already?"
"No, just a laptop. So, thank you." Misty smiled, handing back his equipment.
"Don't mention it," Tyler shrugged nonchalantly. "Let's go eat!" Tyler yelled, as he opened his door to get out. The great thing about their University, was that it was situated near a little village of sorts. Like a 'China Town', with everything. All types of food, and random stores selling random things, scattered about with no order. Thus, if one did not feel up to cooking, but also wanted a meal more substantial than 'Mi Goreng' noodles, they could just take the five minutes walk to the village. Also, if you were looking to kill time, by just wondering around. Even if you wanted entertainment, there was always some band playing, there were musicals and every once in a while massive festivals.
"I'll just text Stanley, see what he's up to." Stacey said as she pulled out her phone. After typing furiously for a minute or so, she put her phone away turning her attention back to the group. "He said he'll meet us at whatever restaurant we park at."
"I vote for Mexican," Dennis said, as they started the short trek to the village.
"The 'Three Amigos' is pretty good." Misty offered.
"Then the 'Three Amigos' it is!"
"Okay, I'll just text Stanley."
