"'Of perspectives and lenses'. Interesting title." Tyler hummed, as he flipped the book over in his hands

"Borrowed from 'Of Mice and Men' and 'Of Monsters and Men'. Don't know how that connection was made but, it stuck. So, if anyone asks that's how I came up with the title."

"What's it about?"

"It's completely and holistically random. You could call it a train of thought. But it's inspired by you and your different versions."

"Now I'm interested. Am I the main character?"

"It's not novel per say," Misty said, as she grabbed the from him. "It's just random passages stuck together. Open a random page and you'll see what I mean, here."

"Now I feel attacked." Tyler commented.

"Why?" Misty questioned eagerly. She was genuinely interested about any and all critical reviews regarding her final. Not only had she put in a lot of work into it, but it was also different from her previous work.

"When dissecting art aren't you supposed to talk about how it makes you feel though? Like isn't that the whole point of creating something, to make your audience feel something?"

"True." Misty hummed, loving the analysis Tyler was providing.

"This just makes me feel shallow about thinking of how a piece makes me feel. Not about the subject and the inspiration."

"But you do, when you say that their pain is raw."

"Then you completely forget about that and start talking about your feelings, what you've been repressing."

"Yeah but, this isn't about right or wrong, or making anyone feel bad. Just how things can be seen differently."

"Still makes me feel bad; selfish even."

"More like opens your mind to other sides."

"Of perspectives and lenses?"

"Hmmm, exactly. Of perspectives and lenses."

"Where'd you get the inspiration?" Tyler asked, as he continued to explore the pages if the book.

"You obviously."

"Me?" Tyler exclaimed, lifting his gaze from the book to fix it on Misty.

"Yeah. You and that whole two personality fiasco." Misty confirmed.

"Wait you've been writing this the whole time?"

"The moment Tyler 2.0 appeared after the diagnosis. It fascinated me how he was almost excited about the whole, compared to original Tyler. You were so worried, you stressed yourself into another seizure." Misty mused, with a laugh at the end. "To be honest, I kinda miss it."

"What?"

"You know, the distinctiveness."

"Are you telling me, I got a hole drilled into my head for nothing, is that it? You don't like me anymore now that Tyler 2.0 is gone?" Tyler joked, but the way his voice shook betrayed him.

"Calm down," Misty chuckled.

"Calm down!? You swore to me you didn't like him better!" Tyler whined, his insecurities getting the better of him.

"You want the truth? The Tyler standing in front of me right now is my favourite. Not original Tyler, not Tyler 2.0... just Tyler. I really like Tyler."

"Yeah well, I'm pretty the whole campus knows that I really like you so, I guess we're even."

---

"Are you ready?" Misty heard Tyler's voice in her ear, causing her to shiver. After seeing Misty's final, they had travelled down to the university gallery, so Tyler could showcase his work to Misty. Before entering the room, Tyler had placed himself behind Misty and covered her eyes with his hands, claiming he wanted it to be a surprise. Now they stood in front of piece, as Tyler tried to work up the courage to drop his hands.

"Oh for crying out loud." Misty impatiently cried, as she grabbed Tyler's hands and pulled them away from her eyes. She was left caged in Tyler's hold, with his hands against her chest, as she took in the image in front of her. "Tyler," Misty breathed out.

"You hate it." Tyler concluded. Misty could not rebut his statement as she was left utterly speechless. Instead she continued to stare at the artwork in front of her, in absolute awe.

"How long?" Misty finally voiced out.

"What?"

"How long did this take?" Misty asked once again, turning around in his arms to face him.

"I started it after my surgery, after I got released from the hospital." Tyler answered.

"But, that was just a few weeks ago."

"Yeah, I think my body's still confused about the decent amount of sleep it got last night." Tyler jested.

"This is... this is amazing. Like how? Tyler!"

"Yes?" Tyler asked, cautiously. Misty had said his piece was amazing, but at the moment she looked like she was ready to hit him.

"That's my face!" Misty's volume caused a few heads to turn their way. Tyler's major work was indeed Misty's face. A collage of random pieces that connected them, brought together to complete the image. The 'Wi-fi' drawing, his rough draft of 'The Red Dress', some pieces of the fabric from the actual dress, her scribbled measurements, little doodles from random moments... Misty could not believe that he had kept half the stuff, that made up the piece. There was something about how he arranged everything carelessly that made the piece so striking. There was a rawness to it, that elevated it from just another collage.

"I know, do you want me to read the description?" Misty hummed in response, eyes glued to the collage in front of her. Fumbling, she searched for Tyler's hand blindly, before she latched onto it. Squeezing it, she hoped it conveyed all she wanted to say but could not.
