"I was not like this a few years back, I actually quite detested my father for never loving me like a son and always forcing his decisions on me," Geon Czar spoke in a tired voice, "I didn't ever object his behavior too, because I knew it was no point trying, my mother had abandoned us when I was too young to remember and I was thoroughly lonely for most of my life." The Alpha let out a sigh.
"But then one summer day, when I went for a casual run in the forest, I stumbled into the most beautiful Omega wolf I had ever laid eyes on, its alluring scent instantly enraptured all my senses and I couldn't help but want to get closer, but the blue-eyed wolf ran away almost immediately, the first time." Geon recalled and Taehyung didn't miss the way his lips quirked up in a small smile.
"I daily went to that same place, wanting to see that cream-colored wolf again and after a few restless weeks I finally managed to catch it one morning, which is when I witnessed his human form; he was a male Omega," The Alpha let out a humourless chuckle, "It was pathetically ironic how the kind of werewolves that my father had taught me to hate all my life, managed to make his place right in my heart."
"He was very kind to me and we started meeting often, I got used to his sweet company in just a few days," Geon's eyes glistened with tears, "but I didn't know that my happiness would be so short lived, even before I could confess my feelings for him, he left me, just when I needed him the most, with nothing but a lame note saying that he had gotten mated to someone else and never wanted to see me again."
"Bitter hatred took over my broken heart and I distracted myself, by turning into the scornful Alpha that my father wanted me to be, all his prejudiced values started growing in on me, and I willingly threw away my conscience." Geon regretfully locked his eyes with Taehyung, before speaking again.
"I am really sorry Taehyung, for everything that I have said and done, I was not in my right state of mind when I channelled my meaningless hate towards you, just because you're a male Omega too," the Alpha apologized, "please forgive me," he said, simultaneously wiping his tears.
It was evident that he was genuinely regretting his actions and the Omega could understand his despair.
"I do forgive you, Geon, and I am glad you shared all that with us." Taehyung smiled reassuringly and glanced at Jungkook who nodded as well.
"Thank you so much and I promise I will make everything right, starting from exposing my father's true identity, he is involved with rogue wolves and is planning something with them." Geon spoke impatiently, but frowned his eyebrows in confusion, when he saw the other two wolves were not surprised.
"Are you actually aware of your father's true identity?" Taehyung questioned gravely and heaved a heavy sigh when the Alpha shook his head in innocence.
"Listen to us very carefully now Czar, this might not be easy to take in, but it is all true." Jungkook started, and the two began explaining everything to the clueless Alpha slowly.
When they finished, Geon was left speechless and horror-stuck, the loathing for his embarrassing excuse of a father tripled within him.
He felt ashamed of sharing his blood with such a man, and he wanted nothing more than to free himself and the entire werewolf clan from his clutches.
"I had already made up my mind to help you before knowing all this and now that I have learned the truth it has just proved how necessary it is to drag that man to justice, I will do everything in my power to help uncover whatever my father is planning." The Alpha solemnly promised, strengthening their chances of victory.
"Thank you so much Alpha Geon." Taehyung smiled at the Alpha, overwhelmed with the newfound hope.
"It is you who I am most grateful to Taehyung, you're amazing, and it is my pleasure to have met you," the Alpha complimented in admiration, "I will be indebted to you all my life." He added and bowed to the Omega in respect, surprising him.
"Oh! Don't do that, it's fine, you're welcome." Taehyung squeaked with a blush, stepping back a bit.
"I'll take my leave now, you two should rest too, we can talk in detail tomorrow." Geon stood up slowly, supporting his broken shoulder with a groan.
"Wait, I'll help you walk till the infirmary." Taehyung offered sympathetically, but before he could go ahead, Jungkook blocked his way.
"I'll do that, you must be exhausted too, don't worry." The Alpha quickly spoke and swiftly guided Geon out of the room, before Taehyung could protest.
The Omega just shrugged his shoulders at the odd behavior and proceeded to make his bed, waiting for Jungkook to return.
Meanwhile, as the two Alphas stepped out of the Omega's house, Geon let out an amused chuckle.
"What is so funny?" Jungkook asked the other in mild annoyance.
"It is so obvious that you like him." Geon spoke knowingly, making the other Alpha halt in his tracks.
"What a-are you talking about." Jungkook was caught off guard, his cheeks immediately flaring red.
"You're blushing!?" Geon exclaimed, as he burst out laughing again.
"Stop it or I will leave you here and go." The flustered Alpha complained.
"Why? Can't be away from Taehyung for long?" Geon teased again, thoroughly enjoying Jungkook's reaction.
"I was away from him for seven years; you won't understand how that feels." The Alpha honestly said with a glare, as they fell silent for a minute.
"You should let him know then, before it is too late and some other Alpha takes him away." Geon spoke softly, looking away from him, and Jungkook realized that the Alpha was talking from experience.
"Do you still miss that Omega?" Jungkook asked hesitantly, feeling sad for the Alpha.
"Sometimes, but now I wish that he stays happy wherever he is, even if it is with someone else." Geon replied truthfully, and it felt great to let go of his hatred, it felt absolutely great, to finally move on.
Jungkook patted the Alpha's back in appreciation, as they reached the infirmary at last and Geon turned around to bid him good night, heading inside with a content smile on his face, after a long time.
While the Alpha walked back to Taehyung's room drowned in his thoughts, Geon's words kept lingering in his head.
Jungkook had got his answer to all these feelings erupting inside him and he felt like he didn't want to keep it to himself anymore.
He needed to let the Omega know that their friendship had changed into something deeper and more meaningful for him, even if he wasn't sure if Taehyung felt the same, the Omega still had the right to know the truth.
The fragrant night was endowed with the freshly blooming flowers that marked the arrival of spring in the forest, mirroring the new blossom of love in the Alpha's heart.
As Jungkook looked up at the sky, his face lit up in a wonderful smile;
The full moon rightfully glimmered in impatience once again, as if to personally bless the long-awaited outcome, of all the beautiful moments it has witnessed before.
