That Chelsea Boy - Mason Mount

After me and Mason had put all of the footballs and equipment away in the storage room we walked back into the training centre and past where the men's changing rooms are. He then stopped at the doorway and said "I'm going to get a really quick shower and get changed so I'll see you around yeah". "Um yeah sure" I replied to him with a smile before he turned and started to push against the door. "Oh Mason Tammy and Kai are in the canteen with Madison and Emily so you're welcome to come and join us after if you want" I said to him quickly. "Yeah alright then I'll join you when I'm ready I won't be too long Amelia" he smiled before heading into the room.

I waited until I'd heard the door close before smiling to myself and walking back to the canteen to see my best friends and their boyfriends (or soon to be). Once I reached the four of them I went and sat down in the same seat as before still smiling to myself. Madison then turned towards me and asked "what's got you all smiley then Amelia" with a big smile. "Nothing" I replied shaking my head. "Oh Mason said he'll come and join us when he's ready" I added while trying to get the smile off my face but failing. "Okay something deffo happened out there though" Emily replied wiggling her eyebrows. "Stop wiggling your eyebrows" I laughed at her.

We then all chatted for a while with the four of them continuing to ask me questions about when I went outside. I didn't answer and just laughed as Tammy and Kai started to tell funny stories about training. Mason soon came striding into the room, now in a Chelsea tracksuit, and as soon as he saw me the same big smile he had earlier on the pitch was on his face again. He sent me a small wave which I returned before he made his way over to the table we were all sat at. As he grabbed a chair from a nearby table and sat down he quietly said "hey Amelia" to me. "Hey Mason" I replied to him as he put his bag down on the floor and looked up at me.

I soon realised I couldn't hear Tammy or Kai talking or the girls laughing so I turned to look in their direction. The boy next to me continued looking at me for a second before doing the same to be met with Emily, Madison, Tammy and Kai all staring at him. "Hey I'm Mason its nice to finally meet the girls these lads keep talking about all the time" he said as he smiled across at Madison and Emily. The two boys started to look a bit embarrassed and shifted in their seats uncomfortably. "Nice to meet you too" Madison said to him before smiling at her boyfriend. Emily also greeted Mason before looking at Kai who smiled at her before looking back at him.

"What happened out there Mase you're proper smiley too" Tammy asked his friend party wanting to change the subject but also just curious. "Oh nothing really just had a football kicked at the back of my head by someone here who clearly thinks she's a professional footballer" he replied before laughing and nudging my arm gently. I started laughing too partly out of embarrassment and buried my face in my hands and shook my head. "I really am sorry about that" I told him. The others all looked at each other as me and Mason smiled at each other laughing slightly at the memory of what had happened a bit earlier.

We'd all stayed in the canteen chatting for a few hours even though we'd originally planned on going back to ours as soon as the training session ended. Madison then decided she wanted to head back to Tammy's with him and spend the night there with Emily doing the same with Kai but she'd be coming home later. "I guess I'll order an Uber then" I said quietly to myself. "Don't bother I'll give you a lift. Your house is on the way to mine anyway" Mason told me with a smile as he came to stand next to me. "Are you sure Mason? I don't want to be a bother" I replied looking into his eyes. "It's not an issue at all darling" he told me as he picked his bag up.

My heartbeat skipped at his nickname. I'd only met the boy a couple hours ago and yet I felt like I'd known him years. As we walked into the car park he pulled his keys out of the pocket of his tracksuit bottoms and began to walk towards the black Mercedes I'd been admiring when I'd arrived here this morning. "Wait that car is yours?" I asked him shocked. "Yeah it was my first expensive purchase when I got my contract here. Why which did you think was mine?" he replied. "I don't know maybe the Mini or something" I said as I shrugged my shoulders at him.

"Really?" he asked looking into my eyes to see if I was being serious but I soon smiled making him smile too. "That one's Kante's he's had it since arriving in England cause he wanted to bike to training but they wouldn't let him" he explained. "Aww oh my god he's literally so adorable" I replied holding my hand to my chest. "Yeah he is but he's an absolute beast on the field I'd hate to play against him. Anyway let's get you home" Mason said before opening the passenger door for me and I climbed inside before he walked round and did the same on the driver's side.

As Mason pulled up on our driveway after our short journey from Cobham he turned across and looked at me. "It was really nice to actually meet you today" he told me as he smiled his wide smile, something I was now realising was his signature look. "You too Mason and thank you so much again for the lift home" I replied matching his smile. "It's really not a problem at all. Oh wait looks like we've got similar cars" he said to me as he looked at my Mercedes which was next to us. "Yeah it's similar not quite as high spec as yours though" I laughed before turning to open the door and get out.

"Oh wait pass me your phone quickly" I told him abruptly making him send me a questioning glance. "I'm going to put my number in it for you don't worry I'm not gonna stalk you or anything" I laughed before his face softened and he picked up his phone and unlocked it with his Face ID. I created a contact for myself before saving it and moving across to open the Instagram app. I tapped on the search bar to type my username in but I saw that it was already there. "Have you been stalking me Mount?" I asked him as I looked into his eyes. "Something like that Woodhall" he said with a smile.
