So far as me and Georgie had been watching our boys play it had been pretty uneventful. Even though both Chelsea and West Ham had been creating chances they had still been unable to get the ball in the back of the net. It meant that whenever their shots were blocked the players threw their arms up in the air and let out loud groans of frustration. Mason even had a couple of good attempts in front of the goal but so far Fabianski, who I only knew the name of after looking through the match day programme I'd been given before the match, had managed to deny him from being able to get his name onto the score sheet.

On every occasion when Mason had missed a goal he looked across in our direction, obviously initially at Thomas as he's his manager who was flinging his arms around in annoyance, but then at me with a small shrug. Whenever he did I would send him a small smile and clapped while mouthing 'come on babe' to him. The referee had now blown the whistle for half time and the score still remained at nil-nil. As the players had walked off with their heads down Mason had looked up at me and smiled slightly before putting his head back down and making his way down the tunnel.

Me and Georgie had both come down the tunnel as we needed the toilet. Apart from a few wives and girlfriends, who had already come in and gone back out again, it was nice and empty in here. I could imagine that the women's toilets in the stands would be rammed. I was stood at the sink, after finishing doing my business, looking at my reflection in the mirror while I waited for Georgie. I picked my phone out of my pocket to see if Madison or Emily had texted me and I noticed the clock at the top of the screen. It was almost time for the second half to start which meant that all the players would be coming back out soon.

"Come on our boyfriends will be back out soon" I said putting my phone away. Shit! I said boyfriends. As in plural. "Boyfriends?" her confused voice said as the toilet flushed. "You're together?" she asked as she walked to the sinks. "He asked me last night, he's gonna tell Declan later, I wasn't gonna say anything but I guess it just slipped out" I told her laughing slightly as a massive smile appeared on her face. "Oh my god Amelia I'm so happy for you both, aww yay my favourite couple are now an actual couple" she said before pulling me into a hug. "I won't say anything to Dec". "Thank you, come on let's head back" I said to her as we walked out the toilets.

The fans around Stamford Bridge had all been yelling and screaming at their players who were moving really sluggishly around the pitch. They were trying to encourage their teams to get the goal they both desperately needed but it hadn't seemed to be working too well so far. However, as the last few minutes before full time started to gradually tick down on the big screens around the place it seemed as though the Chelsea fans words and calls had worked as the action on the pitch was beginning to look about a hundred times more promising than it had been for the last 75 minutes.

Thomas was yelling at his players when they were close enough to hear him. Georgie groaned causing me to look at her with a confused expression before she smiled and gestured towards the pitch. As I turned back I saw that both Mason and Christian, who I was slowly becoming quite good friends with, had both managed to get away from the West Ham players who were meant to be marking them. Christian been one of the only players who talked to me at Tammy's party and I'd found out that his girlfriend still lives in America so when he's over here he misses her a lot and when I went to Cobham he made sure to come over and say hi afterwards.

After looking around at the other players I now realised that Georgie had been groaning because one of the West Ham players they had gotten away from was Declan. The two Chelsea players were making a run for it away from their half of the pitch and towards the opposition goal and as Timo Werner kicked the football across the field in the direction they were heading the fans started to get even louder. If that was even possible. The ball bounced a couple of times before it rolled along the grass but Christian had managed to get in front of it and bring it under control.

Mason got himself in the best position he could in front of the goalposts. Christian tapped the ball across to him before Mason fired it into the goal. It flew past the keeper and hit the back of the net with a thunk causing a large cheer to ring out around the stadium, including from me. As soon as the back of the net moved I leapt out of my seat and yelled loudly causing Georgie to cover her ears. Mason let out a yell as he raced across towards the stand and slid on his knees a few yards before jumping to his feet as the fans in the stand all clambered over each other to get as near to my boyfriend as they could while shouting his name.

Mason turned and looked up at me and pointed which made some fans turn and look at me. I clapped as I smiled proudly back down at him before Christian and the rest of the team sprinted across to him before all jumping up and down together while smiling. Thomas punched the air happily a few times before pulling the members of his coaching team that were stood with him into hugs while Fabianski and the rest of the West Ham players, and Georgie, all looked deflated. I turned and gave her a hug as she frowned while looking down at Declan but she told me she was still happy for Mason as he deserved it.

Once the Chelsea players had settled down the referee then restarted the match for the final few minutes but Mason was soon subbed off by Thomas. My boyfriend walked off the pitch with a smile before being pulled into a hug by his manager who looked as if he was as proud of him as I felt. After he was patted on the back by the players on the bench he then looked up at where I was sat. He smiled widely at me again before he disappeared from view as he walked off down the tunnel. He was probably off to get his shower now as he once the full time whistle has gone he'll probably be pulled off for an interview as he scored the winning goal.
