Heartless Love

CHAPTER 14

"He's not going, of course. Have you ever seen your brother went to the party including that your dad is there?" Tanong ni mommy sa akin. "I dont want to that party mommy" inis na sabi ko. "And also we just can't leave my brother here alone" tipod na sabi ko. "We can," my mom cut me off.

"Let's just go, Victoria."

I looked at the door of my brother's bedroom with
concern in my eyes before leaving the mansion. I entered the white limousine with my mom, looking outside the window the whole time. My heart was beating so fast. I actually tried to search my dad's bestfriend son for his face last night but there was nothing on the internet. Ang nakalagay lang tatlo silang magkakapatid. All boys. Maybe private silang mga tao.

"You're going to meet your dad's bestfriend son today. You should be excited."  I looked at my mom with my lips parted. "We're not meet yet mom. Why should I be excited?" I tried so hard to tone down my voice. "To show the visitors that you and the son of Architect Evangelista are very closed. They should start talking about it. Para rin may mapakita ka sa mga lalaking lalapit sayo. You are not allowed to fall in love with other guys. That will just complicate things." Tipid na sabi ni mommy sa akin.

I am not allowed to fall in love? That was painful. I felt like my freedom was easily taken away from me. "You're kidding mom, right?" I rolled my eyes to my mom. "Im not kidding sweetie this is your dad's wish" naka ngiting sabi ni mommy sa akin. I started plotting plans in my head while we were on our way to the party. It was a grand one, I heard.

"Be elegant. You are Beatrice Laurent, Remember Victoria you're Laurent remember that" my mom reminded me before we entered the huge mansion. "Yes." I replied. When my dad saw me and my mom he walked toward to us. "Hi, my baby"  my dad smiled at me and i looked at him in cold stare My dad put his hand around my shoulders to pull me beside him and i saw Architect Evangelista. I gave Arch. Evangelista a sweet smile. "This is Khalil Evangelista. My best friend. The owner of Real state. Khal, this is my
daughter, Beatrice Victoria Laurent."

"Hello, Sir. I've heard a lot of good things about you. " I shook his hand, smiling. "Wow a little girl became a lady now" he said while saying to me and i gave him a sweet smile. "You're  a lady now darling. Wait a minute, I'l just call my son. He was around here a few seconds ago." He looked around the crowd before he lifted a hand.

"Kie, get over here!"

I tried so hard to remain smiling but my lips started to shake out of nervousness when I realized that the man he was going to introduce will be our partnership in our company. Sinundan ko ng tingin ang lalaking naglalakad palapit. He was wearing a black dress shirt with a Dark blue neck tie and a pair of black slacks. He was holding a wine glass on his other hand while the other was busy loosening up his tie.

When i saw his whole face i was shocked when i saw Kiel is here. "Love! You're here too?" Naka ngiting sabi niya tapos lumapit sa akin at niyakap ako while he was holding his wine in his other hand after that he pulled me beside him and held my waist.

"You know each other?" Arch. Evangelista asked us while smiling face. "Y-yes, but--" suddenly Kiel cut me off. "Of course dad, we know each other she's my girlfriend" i was shocked when he told to his dad that im his girlfriend. Agad ko naman siyang hinampas ng bigla naman niya nilapit yung muka niya sa akin agad niya naman tinakpan yung labi ko nang bumulong siya sa akin.

"Makisama ka muna this time Trice, please" bulong niya sa akin. "What should we do?" Mahinang sabi ko. "Just act like my girlfriend okay?" Agad ako tumango sa kanya. "When you two official dating, son?" Naka ngiting tanong ng daddy niya sa amin. "Five months ago dad" sagot naman ni Kiel sa daddy niya.

"Oh by the way, This is Kiel, my son," Acrh. Evangelista proudly introduced Kiel to my dad. And my dad smiled and i looked to Kiel beside me My lips parted while I was staring at him, trying to look closely on his features. He was taller than me. As i remeber his height was 6'2  His hair was pushed back with wax but some strands were falling on his forehead. Perfect jaw, nose, and lips. Thick brows and mysterious eyes. He was conventionally attractive, which didn't sit right with my spirit.
