The pair dried themselves off and got dressed. Jack sat himself back in the spot under his name in the team changing room and slapped at his thick thigh as Sophie came into view from being in the bathroom, gesturing for her to join him.
'Come ea'
An invitation for her to perch on his lap, Which she was more than happy to oblige.

Sophie stroked his slightly longer than normal facial hair with one finger, he had a small patch along his jaw which could never quite catch up with the rest of it. She loved it.

'That wa abit risky y'know' he hummed, smiling slightly. His dopey, tired eyes still sparkled.

'Jack.. Don't be acting all innocent!' She blushed, 'Besides, the doors were locked. As soon as I saw Ederson and Dias leave, I knew you'd be here on your own.'

'Ohh got me alone did ya, all vulnerable in the showa' He tickled and poked at her ribs, making her nuzzle into his neck.
'Y'know... I ain't ready to leave ya yet... I enjoy ya company' He huffed as he leaned himself back against the wall, resembling a grumpy toddler.
'So don't leave' Sophie looked up at him, noting the puppy-ish look in his eyes. She ran her fingers through his damp hair, lightly grazing her nails on his scalp. He responded with a deep grumble of appreciation which made her stomach flip and before she could stop herself, the words fell right out of her mouth 'Come back to mine for the night'.

'Ya wot? Really?' She could see him trying to tone  down his excitement.
Sophie nodded, still stroking his scalp. That stupid, gorgeous grin evolved across his face.

'I should warn you though.. my flat isn't some fancy penthouse apartment! But it's my safe space'

Jack's response to this was a calm, soothing kiss and as he pulled his face away, he was beaming from ear to ear.

'Right c'mon then' he tapped her bum and she stood up 'I'll get us a car'.
Sophie chuckled and shook her head, 'Jesus... Jack, you aren't getting us a car! I'll be driving myself home so you can jump in with me... if you want. We'll go down to the underground car park.'

'Nah, yeh course! Well.. Your seatbelts betta be workin! Coz if you drive like you shag I'm in trouble'.

Sophie raised her eyebrows, 'I'll refrain from making comment about your driving then, Grealish?'.
He made a mocking shocked face at her and a low laugh rumbled from his chest.

Sophie took his hand and pulled him back in the direction of the showers
'Ya takin me for round 2 aren't ya! can you not wait' he happily smiled
She rolled her eyes 'Jack, let me quickly dry that mop of yours, else you'll end up looking like a bloody poodle'
He laughed at this mental image and sat himself down in front of the large mirror just outside of the shower cubicle. Sophie grabbed the hairdryer, switched it on and stood behind Jack, watching him in the mirror as she slowly ran her fingers through his hair. The appreciation written all over his relaxed face. It only took a few minutes to dry, but she couldn't stop looking at him.

'I love having me hair played with y'know'

He deeply groaned every time Sophie lightly dragged her nails from his hairline, around and down his scalp.

She switched the hairdryer off and bent over, her lips ever so slightly just grazing his ear lobe,
'You know, those noises you're making are reaaaalllyy distracting' she whispered.

He opened his eyes and observed her behind him in the mirror, his hazel eyes darkened once more as they just stared at the reflection, taking one and other in. Sophie broke the dangerous eye contact after a few seconds when she started to blush and felt that familiar throb again.

-

She watched on, waiting as Jack was messing and shuffling around in his locker when suddenly Kate's words from earlier echoed in her ears.

'We're going out tonight, and you're telling me everything'
Bugger.
Quickly, she pulled out her iPhone and tapped a message out.

S - Kate, Just remembered I have plans for tonight, can we reschedule for in a few days? X

K - I figured as much when I realised you'd stayed behind at work! Have fun ;) x

S - I don't know what you're talking about! See you next week x

Putting her phone away, she watched Jack as he slung on a black cap, black oversized hoodie and packed clothes and bits into his rucksack.

He noticed Sophie watching him, grinning.
'Wot you lookin' at me like that for?' He smiled back.

Sophie shrugged at him 'You just look cute Jack, with your little rucksack'.

'Tell ya wot Soph, I'll leave my stuff here and I'll have ya wasting both of our time washin' my clothes for me, time that could be spent doing other things, no?'

They just smirked at each other

'Right' Sophie spoke 'let's go before I change my mind' she said over her shoulder.

'Ya cheeky git' Jack smirked as he followed behind her.
