Ryan

What a bitch.
He couldn't believe how it had ended. He refused to accept it.
No, he wouldn't accept it.
If he couldn't have her, no one could.

There was a fine line between love and hate.. right now, he really fucking hated her.

She'd upped sticks and left for Manchester without giving him a second thought, when all he wanted to do was love her, to keep her safe and out of harms way.
He couldn't stand the thought of anyone else getting one speck of her attention.. why would she need anyone else, when she had him?

The sex was shit.
It used to be good, but she had zero interest anymore.
She barely moved, didn't make any eye contact with him and looked like she was thinking of the washing up most of the time.
Even when he held her face to look at his, she clamped her eyes shut.
Fuck it.
That's why he slept around.
At least he got something back from these other girls.

He just needed to come and get his release, to own her in some sort of way.
She was his, whether she liked it or not.
With the tiny speckles of his DNA left behind in her body, she would always be his.

He couldn't bribe her with money, she now had her own, along with her own bank account.
He couldn't threaten to chuck her out, she had her own place to live.

Sophie thought she was something since she'd qualified as a Doctor, she thought she was better than him.
When in fact, she was nothing.
A nobody.

It had been a few weeks since he got carted off from the Etihad in the back of a police van.. but eventually he had been released from custody due to 'lack of evidence'. It was her word against his.

Despite everything being dropped, once work got wind of what had happened, they made the decision to 'let him go'.
He worked at a popular local betting establishment as an assistant manager. He was the best of a bad bunch, but he hated the place anyway , so he wasn't that arsed.

Now he was unemployed, he had all the time in the world.
Precious time that he needed to work out how he was going to win Sophie back.

He didn't mean any harm when he turned up at the Etihad.
He just wanted to scare her a little, to make her see just how much he wanted her.. even after she blocked him on everything. All forms of contact completely gone.
He'd emailed her a fair few times, Sophie never replied though. He couldn't even see if she had received it and he couldn't stand it.
It made his brain spin.
It pissed him off.

She was lucky that jumped up little prick was in her office or else he'd have dragged her out of there and back home, where she belonged.
Grealish, was it?
Why was he so bothered about why he was there, it was none of his business.
He's shit anyway.

It was fairly easy to find her address, a couple of drinks combined with mutual friends later and bingo.
He'd rented a hire care and sat outside Sophie's apartment most nights, just watching her coming and going from the corner of the car park.

One night she'd had someone with her.
It made him furious, more furious than he'd ever been before.
He couldn't make out who it was, but it was definitely a fella. He could tell it was by the way he walked, the way he held himself. Ryan just couldn't quite make out his face due to the rubbish car park lighting and whoever it was, had their hoodie pulled that tight around their face, obviously not wanting to be spotted.

There was a woman after that.
He presumed she worked with Sophie as he didn't know her.
He knew all of her friends.
She turned up in a big Man City puffa jacket, holding a takeaway pizza and a big case on wheels which she dragged along behind her.

He waited there all night, dozing with the front seat leaning as far back as it would allow and grazing on bags of crisps.
He probably looked a little crazy.
He wasn't though, he just loved her so much.
So much.

The following day, he watched on again as Sophie and this other woman packed up her car with multiple bags and cases.

Sophie looked good. She had a glow about her that he'd not seen in years.
It confused him.

Where was she going?

He didn't know why, but he decided to follow the car.
He made sure to hang a few cars behind them and ended up following them all the way to the outskirts of Staffordshire, before Sophie's car turned into a place called St George's park.
Not wanting to push it, he didn't follow them any further.

He needed to find a place to rest his head and to do some research before deciding his next move.
