The journey back to St George's Park was looking to be as uneventful as always, which was much welcomed by Sophie and Kate as they planned to use this opportunity to catch up with each other.

Armed with takeout coffee and croissants from the hotel, they sat themselves about half way down the coach, leaving Gareth at the front with his back room staff and most of the boys congregating at the back, taking up two seats each, standard.

Unsurprisingly, the whole team had managed to make it out onto the coach on time, all except Jack and Phil.

The confusing mix of Midlands and Mancunian accents loudly boomed through the door as the troublesome two stepped onto the coach, welcoming a wave of light-hearted abuse from the rest of the squad.

'Ahhh sorreh sorreh....'

'Grealo had to phone his mum'

'Phil, it was your mom actually'

'Oi ya fuc-'

'OK, you two get sat down', Gareth cut Foden off before he could progress any further with his comeback. They both made their way up the aisle of the coach to find the perfect place to park their arses for the next two hours.

Sophie couldn't help stare at Jack as he sauntered towards her. He looked fit. Proper fit.

He was head to toe in Nike England gear, which on paper should be revolting, but on him, for whatever reason, it worked.

She visually absorbed him, starting with the black Nike cap, navy blue England joggers combined with the matching zip up hoodie which hid the royal blue polo style shirt underneath (the one that really clings to him in all of the right places). He'd teamed these with crisp white socks pulled up to the bottom of his calves and finally a pair of pastel colourful Nike Dunks.

It was all very him. It made her smile.

He must have been watching her, he flashed her a confident wink as he approached her and quickly tapped her on the crown of her head as he sauntered past following Phil.

'So', Kate began, 'You and Jack'

'Yes..', Sophie couldn't stop the overriding urge to smile even if she had wanted to.

She could still feel the sensation of his thickness inside of her from a few hours earlier, like some sort of sick phantom limb game. She was well and truly hooked and thought back to this morning.

Not long after Henderson's arrival in the hotel pool, Sophie showered and headed back up to her room, where she was greeted by Jack less than half an hour later.

He was very much overcome with the frustration that he'd obviously felt in the water and immediately bent her over the edge of the bed, one hand was weaved within her hair which firmly held her head down into the soft duvet. Once he'd guided himself into her, he placed his other hand on her left hip and pounded her roughly, but sweetly, until they both came.

'Earth to Sophie', Kate interrupted her trail of dreamy thoughts which prompted Sophie to update her on everything that had happened with Jack.

How she loved him. How she'd forgiven him.

After all, love always wins right?

They'd finally arrived back at St George's Park, but not for long, they'd have to get their rooms packed up, check out and a flurry of immaculate cars would be soon arriving to pick the boys up. Sophie's car was still in the car park waiting for her and Kate to make the journey back up to Manchester.

'Shall I come to ya room once I've packed?', Jack appeared alongside her on their way into the hotel.

'Of course, I'll give you my spare key card incase I'm in the shower, but listen, no funny business! We've got to get back up North'
