The next day
Kensi's pov
I was on my way to my car to head to work when Deeks of all people pull up to my house.
Kensi- "Uh- what are you doing here?"
Deeks- " Well I thought we could carpool to work today."
Kensi- "Uhhh, only if we can stop for donuts and coffee on the way to work"
Deeks- "No need, I already got it, figured that will be your terms and conditions so I bought some before I came here."
Kensi- " well let's go then"
I hoped into his van and we began our journey to work.
When we were almost to work I accidentally dropped my phone in the crevice of the seat so I was going to the backseat to get it from under the seat as I failed to pick it up from the front. When I went to the back seat under the seat I found a toy soldier and on the seat itself was a rolled up t-shirt marked 'This kid rules', but the shirt definitely couldn't fit Deeks, it was the size of a kid and not a kid like Deeks but a kid like Kam almost twelve years ago.
But I left it as I did not want to assume anything, though alot of scenarios ran through my mind as to why a kid sized t-shirt and a toy soldier was in Deeks van.
At work the same day
Work was relatively simple we had paperwork for mostly the entire day but then we were called into ops for a case which wasn't really a case because the kidnapper was a stupid idiot that didn't even know the person was a Marine and just wanted to experience killing someone and halfway through that case he turned himself in, I guess there was too much guilt, so yeah as I said he was an idiot.
Around lunch time (the original one you know 12), I decided to head to the gym and just work out while I think about things, it was peaceful.
Deeks' pov
Today was simple and I didn't have to run away to go pick up Ryan since my mom was free today and could pick him up so I stayed at work all day but wanted to get some training in so Sam and I decides to hit the shooting range and practice some shots in the dark while Callen finished up his paper work that he had been piling up all month, as you can imagine it is alot and as always Kensi was in the gym.
After we were done we were given the clear to leave early by Hetty of course and I clean forgot Kens and I carpooled to work and left without her, when I left she was still in the gym and I think she will be there for a while again so I hope she didn't mind me leaving.
Kensi's pov
When I was done in the gym there was no one in the office and outside was dark, figured Deeks left without me and my suspicions were confirmed when I looked at my phone and saw a message which read:
'Sorry I forgot we carpooled today and you also looked like you were a bit caught up when Hetty told us we could leave early so yeah. But call me if you are ready for me to pick you up I don't mind coming back down. - Deeks'
To which I responded with
'Its ok I am gonna Uber home it is really late so yeah, oh and enjoy your weekend, good night'
And with that I showered and asked my mom to come pick me up, and she gladly agreed. When I was about to leave the office I looked over on Deeks desk and saw he forgot his phone charger, how he didn't realise it was missing I don't know but I will pass by his house and drop it off for him tomorrow.
With that I headed to my mom's car and we talked until she dropped me off at home and decided to spend the night which I happily allowed, it was really late and I didn't want her driving anymore for the rest of the night .
Today was a good day now to crawl up on my couch and lay on my mom's lap while we watched movies and ate ice-cream and frozen pizza which I prepared in the oven. And that was the end of my day.
