Kensi's pov
I got up the next day around 1pm. I haven't slept that late in a while but I guess it was well needed rest. I went to my window and looked outside, the sky was a bit overcast but it just looked like it was gonna be a passing cloud. With that I went to the bathroom, turned on the shower so the water can heat up, while I waited for the water to heat up, I checked my notifications- verse of the day, ...started a live, ...requested to follow you, you know the usual.
When I was done with both checking my notifications and taking a shower, I brushed my hair, my teeth and wore a simple yet cozy outfit for the day. It was a dark green "yosemite" crew neck and dark green sweatshorts with a smiley face at the bottom of the left leg. I threw my hair up in a messy bun so it wouldn't touch my neck as I headed for the kitchen. I made frozen waffles with fresh fruit and a glass of orange juice. Then it hit me, I have a date with Deeks later today so what will I wear. I didn't even know the attire to wear whether it was fancy or casual.
*Kensi and Deeks texting scene*
Kensi- "Hey um what is the attire for tonight?"
Kensi- "Casual? Fancy?"
Deeks- " oh I forgot to tell you, we are gonna be wearing wet suits:)"
Kensi- "So we are going to the beach..."
Deeks- "Never said that;)"
Kensi- "But you said to wear my wet suit🤨"
Deeks- " No I said we WILL BE wearing wet suits"
Deeks- "So it doesn't matter what you wear honestly. And don't try to figure it out, you wont guess it"
*End of texting scene*
We are definitely going to the beach, why else will we be wearing wet suits?
I decided to give it a rest and watch tv for the rest of the day until it was time to start to get dressed.
Deeks pov
"Ryan, bud, where are you, I gotta talk to you for a bit about something."
R- "Coming dad"
D- "Ok, so you remember Kensi right?
R- "The lady with you yesterday?"
D- "Yeah bud the lady with me yesterday, what do you think about her? You like her?"
R- "Yeah she is nice and really pretty."
D- "Yeah she is nice and really pretty. Well I actually wanted to talk to you about her."
R- "Are you gonna take her on a date?"
D- "Yeah I am, tonight, see bud I really really really like her and I think we might have a fair shot at dating so I wanna take that shot. But only if you are ok with it."
R- "Yeahhh, I don't mind as long as she is willing to play dino with us sometimes and we still get to go to the zoo, just you and me"
D- "Hahaha, I don't think she will mind playing dino and as for the zoo yeah we can still go to the zoo just you and I but sometimes it might be you Kensi and I, could that work?"
R- "Yeah sure I guess I can share you with her, but only becuase she is really pretty."
D- "Ok great glad we had that talk, you want ,e help you pack your bag to go by grandma? Or you wanna do it yourself?"
R- "I can do it myself, you have a date to get ready for"
D- "Ok bud, i love you."
R- "love you too dad"
With that done I went to my room and started to get ready since I was gonna pick Kens up at 7 and I didn't want to be late for our first date. My mom was gonna watch Ryan for the rest of the week, since either way on Monday he was gonna go to my mom's place after school but now she will just drop him off to school and pick him up also.

When I was done getting ready in my date fit Ryan and I jumped into the van and drove off with him in the front seat choosing the music while we played I-spy. Dang I love that kid so much, I don't know where I would've been if not for him honestly.

While I was on my way to pick up Kensi a thought hit me, I should have some gift or something, and though Kensi liked flowers she would kill them faster than I can say "petter pipper picked a pickle pepper with a pepper picker as the rain went pitter patter and Pepper studdied the patter and the picker pepper picked a petter like petter pipper" so I went with the next best thing, something sweet-cake.
I pulled up to Kensi's place and nervously walked up to the door awaiting her presence.
