Deeks pov
I woke up at eight a.m and was a bout to check my phone to see if I got any notifications when I realised my phone was dead, I began to look for my charger and when I couldn't find it it then hit me, I probably forgot my charger at work so I looked for my spare charger, found it, and began to charge my phone.
I checked on Ryan to see if he was awake but he inherited his mother's love for sleep so he hadn't awaken yet. So with that I went brushed my teeth, washed my face and headed to the kitchen to have breakfast which was toast bread, a glass of orange juice and a banana. I wasn't feeling to go all out today so I went simple.
I walked to Ryan's room and woke him up as today I wanted him to finish up his homework before we planned anything for the rest of the weekend.
Kensi pov
When I woke up I was a bit tired still ,but pushed through. I passed and saw my mom sleeping in the guest room and didn't want to wake her so I brushed my teeth, had a glass of water and went on my morning run which took about forty-five minutes and then I did a workout for about an hour and a half because I wasn't feeling to do the whole three hour workout thing.
When I got back home my mom was already up and had already prepared breakfast for both of us, but as delicious as it looked I wanted to take my shower first so I headed upstairs, showered, organised my self for the day and had breakfast.
I was wearing a white cropped vest with a plaid flannel to cover it, a pair of long distressed jeans which were a bit baggy but not too much and a pair of white converses and my hair was up in a low bun.
Kensi- "Hey mom, you got any plans for the day?"
Julia- "No, you?
Kensi- "I was just gonna drop off Deeks' charger he forgot at work and call it a day, but what if we hung out after I drop his charger off."
Julia- "Sure I don't see why that can't work, I will drive to my house, get dressed and you can meet me there"
Kensi- "Sounds like a plan"
And with that I headed out the door, into my car and off to Deeks' place to drop off his charger.
Deeks pov
Deeks- "Okay buddy you got anymore homework besides the coloring one with the fruit?"
Ryan- "Nope, all done. Miss Jacob made us start our homework in school yesterday so I'm all done"
Deeks- "Well that's perfect. What do you wanna do today then? We can go surfing, to the zoo or we can even go to the-
With that I was cut off by the sound of a car pulling up, when I went by the windows to check to see who it was, it was Kensi and she had what looked like my charger in her hand as she walked out of her car.
Deeks- "Hey bud someone is here to speak to dad to gimme a minute ok, I promise it won't take long."
Ryan- "Yeah, ok no problem"

I walked outside to try to meet her half way up the path to get to my house.
Deeks- "Hey, what are you doing here, it's Saturday?"
Kensi- "Don't worry you can hide your lady friends, I'm not her for them or you just here to return your charger you forgot at the office yesterday"
I chuckled a bit at the thought of Kensi thinking I had lady friends.
Deeks- "Waw here is that little guy, I was wondering where he went. And don't worry the lady friends? Gone"
Kensi- "Hmm"
We were interrupted by Ryan walking through the door.
Ryan- " Hey dad, I think the remote for the TV needs new batteries I was trying to switch it from the sports channel to watch Pj mask but it isn't working"
Deeks- "OK bud I'll be there in a sec, also there should be some spare batteries in the third drawer in the kitchen if there isn't any there check in the last cupboard by the TV stand."
Ryan- "OK, thank you."
I awkwardly turned back to Kensi who was still looking at the door like she just saw a ghost.
Deeks- "Yeah sorry about that"
Kensi- " Is that your-"
Deeks- "son? Yeah, his name is Ryan, he's five years old."
Kensi- "Waw I didn't know, I mean I saw the t-shirt and the toy soldier in your van yesterday but I passed it off as nothing and I also didn't want to assume anything."
Deeks- " Yeah, his mom left when he was a baby so it's just me and my mom, that's actually why I leave work during lunch sometimes, so that I can pick him up and drop him off at my mom's place"
Kensi- "Hmm, I had no idea"
Deeks- " Yeah I kinda wanted it to stay that way but I guess the cat is out of the bag now, or should I say the kid is out of the house?"
I joked. And luckily she laughed so it wasn't awkward anymore.
Kensi- " What are you guys up to today?"
Deeks- "I don't know, we were actually talking about that before you arrived so I never got to find out what he wanted to do today"
Kensi- " well we should hang out today, I'm supposed to be going out with my mom today no where in particular and it can be fun, she won't mind I'm sure, she is always happy for the extra company"
Deeks- "Well I'll ask Ryan to see if he is up for it but I'm down to hang today."
Kensi- " Great!"
Kensi and I went inside to see if Ryan was game with all of us and Kensi's mom to hang out together and he was surprisingly game.
Kensi's pov
While Deeks and Ryan got dressed I notified my mom that we will be having more people join us today, and to make it a bit more entertaining we invited Roberta, Deeks' mom.
So when everyone was ready we headed to Roberta's place, picked her up and then we went to my mom's house where we all hung out for a bit and then we went to the zoo per Ryan's request. At the zoo I couldn't help but smile seeing the smile on everyone's faces it was the highlight of my day as well as the flirty looks Deeks and I were shooting each other throughout the day whether it was on the way to pick up Roberta,at my mom's house, at the zoo or even when we were just doing nothing, it was easy to get lost in his eyes.
To end off a truly fun day, we went to the beach and watched the sun set while Ryan built sand castles with Roberta and my mom, he really grew to like her which was really nice to see, I could tell it made Deeks happy. While they built sandcastles, Deeks and I strolled on the beach talking about Ryan and ourselves.
Kensi- " So why didn't you tell anyone you were a dad?"
Deeks- " No reason in particular I just didn't want Ryan to be around so much danger you know what I mean? He is more or less all I have and I can't imagine the pain I would feel if I introduced him to you guys and some sicko saw him and thought to kidnap him when he is in school or even worst, you know?"
Kensi- " Yeah I get it, it's a risky job and you want your kid to grow up not having to fear for his life, I can respect that."
Deeks- " So I wanna talk to you about something, and if it gets awkward after, we can disregard all of what I am about to say.
Kensi- " oook, kinda feel a bit confused right about now, what is it?"
Deeks- " So I had a dream the other night and I asked you a question but you never answered, and the dream felt as real as it can be"
By this time we are on the sand and we are sitting because this seems like a serious thing.
Kensi- " I think I know what the dream was-
