The weeks went by so fast it was scary to say it was almost Christmas. Though, all anxiety of time flying by was washed away by the excitement of Christmas. Kara loved Christmas. Kara loves pretty much every celebration in every culture. Not only is it an excuse for a bit of fun, she also loves it because it makes her feel at home. Earth can be a lonely place for Kara, so she drops herself into festivities and tries to understand and be a part of as many cultures as she can, and by learning about this world, she better appreciates it, as well as her own. Underneath every celebration, Kara is remembering her long lost home.

Kara jumped out of bed, quite literally, and rushed around her and Lena's room getting herself ready for the day. She hadn't exactly got any plans, but she was hoping that her and Alex and their friends would spontaneously celebrate the coming Christmas event. It was the first day of their holiday, they'd just broken up for the term and dozens of people would be packing their things heading home. Alex and Kara would be staying for the most part of the holidays in their accomodation, most of their friends were too. Though, of course, they'd be home for Christmas Day with their mum.

Lena sat up in bed passively and curiously watched Kara bounce around their room. Even she hadn't gotten up yet, and she was always the first up and ready, with the one except of a sick day, though she didn't actually stay off sick, she was merely in bed for an extra 20 minutes with a burning migraine that she refused to let hinder her education.

"What's the hurry?" she asked hopelessly in an attempt of slowing Kara down, the darting about was making her dizzy.

"The hurry? Oh I'm just excited to go out. It's the first day of the holidays afterall!"

"Where are you going?"

"Don't know yet, Alex and I will come up with something."

"You're going out with Alex today?"

"Yep, Maggie too probably, and we might bump into James and Winn so they might tag along too. You're more than welcome to come as well!"

"I don't think Alex and Maggie know about this plan-" she half whispered under her breath, but of course, Kara heard

"What do you mean?" Kara stopped in her tracks so fast you'd have thought she'd fall over.

"Well, you know?"

"Uh? No, I don't know?"

"They went to the bar last night, and I think they were there a while. And I'm fairly certain they got back late... And stayed up late too..."

Kara stared blankly as though trying to figure out what this meant and why it was important.

"I don't think they have plans to be awake this early Kara." Lena said pointedly with a hint of a laugh.

"Oh" Kara said slowly, dropping her arms. Lena's heart tinged with guilt at the disappointed look in Kara's usually hopeful eyes.

Lena spoke quickly, "Well, I can go with you?" she paused.

"If you still.. wanted to go?"

Kara glanced up, and looked upon Lena as though she was analysing the validity of this proposal. Her eyes began to sparkle again and her face was filled to the brim with a smile like it was going to overflow.

"YES!"

"Yeah!?" Lena beamed back.

"Yes! Let's go, come on!"

"Now? Okay!" Lena said with a smile as she got up and began to tidy her bed.

"No!" Kara said, "No time! Do it later!"
