This time, feeling a little more refreshed, they were soon leaving, both carrying a fairly empty rucksack, with a water bottle, some money and their phones.

They headed off campus and Kara, having known the area better, led the way. "Let's go this way." Kara pointed across the road to the right.

"Sure, what's that way?"

"You'll see." She troded off ahead, and Lena had to jog for a moment to catch up with her fast pace.

They follow the road down till they saw trees and a muddy pathway ahead. Kara stopped for a moment, Lena copied.

"This way or-" Kara trailed off, talking to herself.

Lena merely stared at Kara while she decided, allowing this spontaneity to proceed, though usually she preferred to be prepared. Somehow though she felt it would be okay this time round, with Kara. In fact she was enjoying this unplanned trip to goodness knows where, and they hadn't even gotten far yet.

"Yep this way." Kara glanced at Lena, with a checking-for-approval glance. Lena nodded and smiled, following Kara passed the muddy opening where she'd assumed they'd be heading, and further down the street. Their strides synchronised, stepping forward together, walking side-by-side their arms lightly brushing against each others every now and then. Lena tried her best to hold her composure every time they did, suppressing the sparks running up her arm.

"Where are we going Kara?" Lena asks and Kara heads down an alleyway, which was not what Lena had expected.

"Over here."

"What's over there?"

"It's winter, and the sun's only been up for a short while, so it'll soon be above these buildings. There's something that I'd like you to see."

"Alright," Lena continued on, "up here?" she asked again, seeing Kara climb up a short wall.

"Yep! Need a hand?"

Lena reached out her hand, and Kara grabbed it tightly, helping her up onto the wall. Walking across the wall a short bit, and onto a garage roof, the two walked on, still hand in hand. They met the end of the roof and it was a short gap between this and the next. Kara glanced at Lena, "ready?"

"to jump?" Lena felt weary, but was surprisingly calm in her composure, at least she thought so. "Okay" she said more assuredly.

"3. 2. 1. JUMP" The two jumped together over the short gap that wouldn't have been more than 50cm apart, though the thought of it still gave Lena anxiety. Kara though seemed perfectly familiar. She finally let go of Lena's hand when there was a ladder to climb.

"Are you sure we are even allowed here?" A nervous squeak escaped from Lena's throat.

"I suppose technically not, but I've seen the people who live here come up here loads, and they bring friends, so it seems safe enough. And they're friendly, they didn't mind the last time they found me up here."

"When was that?"

"Oh, a long time ago now. Though this isn't the way I got here last time."

"What other way is there?" Lena asked, but Kara didn't reply.

This information was intriguing to Lena. Was this a past that she'd get to uncover?

Before she could ask more, Kara reached out her hand again to help Lena up onto a higher wall, and declared, "Here, this is what I wanted to show you."

Lena stood forward, taking in the view. The sun behind them was at the perfect angle above the buildings to shine down at a small lake visible via an opening in the trees. The water shimmered golden with a reddish glow, reflecting the morning sky and a swan glided across the surface barely causing a ripple. The light through the vivid green leaves that swayed gently in the soft breeze, left the woman stunned. It was a gorgeous view.

However, Kara's eyes were planted on Lena. She memorised the expression on Lena's face, the suprise, the enchantment, the adoration. The glisten in her eyes and the auburn glow of her usually raven dark hair in the sunlight. A smile swept onto her lips the longer she stared, contented with the outcome of how beautiful Lena is. She enjoyed the awe-struck smile playing on Lena's cheeks, how she couldn't quite grasp understanding of the beauty of the nature before her. Lena appeared inspired, yet not half as much as Kara.

"Woah" Lena breathed out. Finally tearing her eyes away from the scene to face Kara again, looking her in the eyes. "It's beautif-" she sighed, her words falling into the wind. She became aware of how intently Kara was gazing at her, how Kara may not have been looking where she had been, the lake, but instead at her.

"The lake is beautiful don't you think?" She questioned, prompting Kara to look aside from her.

"I know it is, I've seen it before." she daringly said still meeting Lena's sharp, widened pupils. Though now, she let out a breath, and momentarily turned to face it. She smiled to herself, remembering it's beauty and the comfort it had brought her when she needed it.

Lena's nervous eyes glanced floor-wards, then back to Kara's unmoving gaze which had left the lake now, and was planted on what intrigued her most. Lena's line of view bouncing between Kara's plush lips and Kara's sky blue eyes. Kara's silky, fresh-smelling hair and Kara's strong, alluring neck.

The feeling of something about to happen was mutual. They both felt enamored with one another, drawn in, magnitised.

Without any warning-

Kara blurted out-

"Wait! Did they think we had sex!????"
