Five

K

K started running towards the flying girl. She thought her name was Hannah but she wasn't sure. She wanted to go for that girl because the other girl who ran had just killed the guys and she was bringing them back to life. K thought her name was Arianna but again, she wasn't sure. How was K supposed to take all of them on?! Especially when they now knew to avoid eye contact. She realized, as she was running, she still had an arrow in her shoulder! She ripped it out. How had she not thought to do that earlier?! Boy, she was dumb. She was running towards Hannah while she was shooting arrows at K the whole time. She kept missing. Hannah was a terrible shot and K couldn't help chuckling at that. Of course, right as she laughed, Hannah got her in the knee. It was painful but not to bad. K kept running. K was tough and could handle it but it still hurt. She stopped for literally one second to rip the arrow out of her knee before all of the poison set in. Luckily only a little bit of the poison got into her, but that still slowed her down. She could feel the poison flowing through her veins. If she didn't get it extracted soon, she would be sick, and if all the poison had gotten into her, she would soon be dead. This battle had to hurry up and end before she got sick. She had been sick before from this kind of poison. When she had gotten home that time, she had about an hour before the poison set in and her father had refused to help. K had been so sick, after passing out for an hour, K woke up and she was throwing up blood, coughing up blood, even pooping and peeing blood! It was the most painful thing she had ever had to go through at only the age of seven! K hoped her dad wouldn't be so insensitive this time. K was thinking about this all the while she was trying to fight. This wasn't the time for that! K had to focus on the fight at hand. There was no way that K could get to Hannah so high in the air, so she through a spear. It was right on point. It would have gone straight through Hannah's head if she hadn't blocked it with her shield. Her father, Rahn, saw that K was having trouble, so he flew behind Hannah on his hovercraft. K distracted Hannah by aiming another spear at her. Rahn was taking too long so K threw her spear. Just as the smooth wood from her spear left her hand, another one went straight threw the back of Hannah's head. K watched as she fell to the ground the spear still in her head.

"Noooooo!!!!!!" K turned to find the boy she thought to be Ethan screaming. Arianna had healed them. They were all running for K. Arianna, being the fastest of course, arrived in an instant as a lion. She pounced on K, her weight crushing K, taking the breath out of her. Arianna started to tear at the flesh on K's right arm. That would leave a mark. Arianna transformed back into a human and ran towards Hannah (probably to bring her back to life) just as the guys showed up. Ethan picked K up and threw her, far. Caleb tried to use his laser eyes against K but he was to far away to get anywhere near her. K stood up. She would try to stay low beneath the tall, dry grass but, she had really sensitive skin and it was starting to give her a rash. Her father signaled her that they were giving up and would come back with a better plan. She had to get to her father to board his hover but she couldn't. Ethan, Caleb, Chris, and Arianna were running towards her, their faces twisted in rage. Hannah was still waking up, dazed and confused. Then she felt it. Her father was unlocking a new power for her. It sent a shocking wave of pain through her starting from the base of her neck going downwards, but it was over in an instant. The new power was slowly spelling itself out in the chip in her neck which connected to her brain. She saw what it was spelling. 'I-N-V-I-S-' "Ughh!!!! Hurry up already!" K screamed aloud. '-I-B-I-L-I-T-Y' Invisibility! That was it! They were getting closer to her! Arianna had her sword in hand running as fast as she could with her injured leg Rahn had given her when she was on top of K as a lion. K had to act fast! They were getting even closer. Caleb tried again to use his laser vision. He had barely missed K's feet that time! She concentrated really, really hard. Then they all stopped, confused. "Where did she go?" Caleb asked. Yes! K had used her invisibility! She ran over to her dad's hover where she found a syringe with the antidote for the poisonous arrows Hannah had shot at her. As soon as K injected it into her arm, she felt the poison dissolve from her body. K became visible again. Her dad told her what a crappy job she had done. "Thanks dad!" K said to herself in a sarcastic voice. Her dad looked mad,"What was that young lady?!" he said and slapped K, hard. It had left a cherry red hand mark across her cheek. That shut K right up.
