Universe: The FaCA Universe (name is subject to change eventually). This universe is centered around the existence of living puppets alongside humans, spirits, and anthropomorphic animals alike, reincarnation, and even includes alternate history. Spirits [souls that refuse to live another life and thus live on Earth among the living, sometimes in their own "ghost towns," such as New Dessle, England] are the oldest of the group of species by far, and puppets being the youngest by a long shot, only coming into existence around the mid 11th Century. All of these species regularly interact with each other, and have regularly interacted with each other for centuries, as of mid 2023 [the present]. There is also an infinitely large afterlife that can only be described as "low-key sentient," named Nowhere And Also Everywhere, which resembles Earth and all its locations (as well as any alternate universes/realities) -- except with a very dreamlike feel. This is the location where new souls are created. With this afterlife, small "powers" such as teleportation to specific locations and changing forms/appearances in an instant are possible, and commonly used. In this universe, almost everything has a soul -- from trivial things like a plant, star, or bacteria to "larger" things such as human beings and the rest of the world's animals. Technology is slightly more advanced here, by about 50 years, compared to our own world. Townlocationplace/TLP, later renamed Citytownlocationplace/CTLP in the early 1900s, is the focal point of this universe in terms of location; this town/city, one of many towns of its kind, was founded by butterfly puppets Rainn Fort and Matthew Milkweed in 1839, and lies on the English coast, specifically on the border between the counties of Kent and East Sussex (although the town itself is more commonly considered to be part of Kent). (C)TLP started out as a "puppet" town, and was founded so puppets, recently freed in 1837, could have a settlement instead of travelling between developing towns. Yesss, so excited to hear more about this world!! Love the detail of everything having a soul

Name: Rhys Heulfryn Maddox [H'/Reese HI-ell-fren Ma-THox], normally referred to by his first name or his surname. He didn't enjoy nicknames -- Rhyssy in particular. Rhys thought his name was just fine without nicknames and discouraged their use.

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Heterosexual. While Rhys stayed single throughout his life (likely due to an implied insecurity over his height), he made small hints that he preferred women. Even if he stayed single, he didn't mind giving his "nephew" relationship advice all the time -- even when said nephew never asked him at all, which made up a good portion of these conversations.

Status: Rhys is dead. He died in his sleep during the early hours of the 23rd of May, 1955. Even if he's dead, he is said to have left Nowhere And Also Everywhere, and began living a brand new life on Earth...a Duke of Burgundy butterfly puppet simply called Trent. Oh rest in peace,,, temporarily I guess

General appearance: Rhys Maddox was an anthropomorphic firefly(mother)/butterfly(father) puppet, something that was seen as fairly uncommon in his small, quiet town. Rhys looked more like his mother in the face, but had plenty of his father's butterfly features to go along with this. Rhys was quite thin, having a rectangular form, but also very fluffy as well, having "fluff [fabric scales]" in a dark navy shade. He also had the regular, spindly butterfly antennae complete with thin, translucent yellow butterfly wings displaying small splotches of color. He also had a very obvious widow's peak, a feature common in numerous fellow insect puppets, marking where his fabric "skin" and "fluff" met. None of his head was fluffy. Rhys was bald, common in many puppets, although never insecure about this. His long, floppy ears and his flat nose are also common features, as well as his four black limbs (two arms, two legs) and neck. Like a large portion of the puppet population, he too had a "tail," inherited from his mother. Clothing wise, Rhys' style stayed relatively the same throughout his adulthood, only changing subtly with the passing decades. He had a formal way of dressing, and wore multiple layers of clothing at a time. It was most common to see him wearing a dark jacket (that he took off when indoors) with a vest and tie that were very close in shade with his jacket, and a plain white button up undershirt underneath. His trousers (that he had plenty of trouble cutting a hole large enough to fit his tail through) were just as dark as his jacket, as well as his pair of dress shoes he often wore. In terms of accessories, he was often seen wearing a hat (unless indoors) and the complementary pair of white gloves every other puppet had/has. Like other insect puppets with wings, the backs of the jacket, vest, and undershirt had to be cut out, in order to accommodate for his wings. Most importantly, seeing Rhys without a cigar in his mouth or pinched between his fingers was a rare sight. Just the concept of a butterfly/firefly hybrid is very exciting to me! And the floppy ears? The fancy clothes? Seems like a very cool character design
