Fandom: Warrior Cats (Set before "the prophecies begin' well, begin.)

Name: Sourkit, Sourpaw, Sourlight ('sour' after his grandmother (Sourbreath), and 'light' because he always tried his best to make cats happy.) Oh I like the prefix Sour! I don't think it's one I've ever seen before

Nicknames/Tiles: His sister Tarpelt would sometimes call him 'The Mighty Worrier' because she thought he fretted too much. (He didn't fret a huge amount, his sister was just reckless.) The mighty worrier...love that

Gender: Tom-Cat (Male)

Age: 132 moons (about 13 years) at death

Pronouns: He/him but he doesn't really mind.

Species: Cat (probably a Tabby/Ragamuffin but not really sure)

Religion: Technically Starclan, but he doesn't believe in them because he knows that they exist and has met them. It would be like believing in the postman. Yeah I imagine it'd be kind of hard for him not to believe in StarClan, considering him being a medicine cat...and also the fact that he's now a StarClan cat

Clan: Formerly RiverClan, but he's in Starclan now.

Rank: Medicine-Cat

Appearance: Sourlight was a large fluffy tom with a sturdy build and long fluffy tail. His pelt was of mottled grey/brown tabby fur, with white paws, neck/chest and muzzle. Rounded ears gave him a soft look that quite matched his sweet personality. He had pale green eyes and a pink nose and paw-pads. He could often be seen with bits of herbs and leaves tangled in his long fur. Aawe, he sounds cute!!

Skills: he learnt to be charming and is very good with herbs. I'd suggest elaborating a little more here — why did he learn to be charming? Was he not like that when he was younger? It makes sense that he's good with herbs, since he's a medicine cat, of course — is it something that he took to naturally, or did he put in a lot of work? Does he have any other strengths/talents? Even small or weird ones can add depth to a character — is he good at remembering names? Can he identify a lot of birds? Did he always win games of moss-ball as a kit? Really, anything works here

Personality: when Sourlight was younger, his father made his disdain for Medicine-Cats very clear. This made him feel that if he wasn't actively helping his clanmates he was confirming his fathers' view on Med-Cats. This led to him struggle a lot with his self-worth as an apprentice, but luckily, Rattleberry always had a lot of time for him and helped him through it. As He got older, Sourlight developed his even temperament and patients that made him such a good Med-Cat. He could keep a cool head in most situations, but couldn't handle emotional confrontations of any sort or anger in others. He just shut down completely. He was quite sensible about most other things, but no one, not even Rattleberry, could help him past this block. Other cats would roll their eyes at his undignified manner, but they liked him really. It was hard not to. Oh, I really like this!! He sounds sweet! What I'd suggest here is more detail — maybe what he was like before he developed a more even temperament, whether old behaviors and mannerisms still show up sometimes? Whether he still struggles to think highly of himself?

On top of that, I'd suggest thinking of some other traits he might have. His personality feels a bit flat to me, and I think just giving it some other aspects would really help with that. Usually, when I create a character, I like to explore their personality in layers, if that makes any sense. How they act around strangers first, then friends and family, and then by themself.

I think the part about him not being good at emotional confrontations is really interesting — I'd explore how that affects his medicine cat duties. I'd imagine being a medicine cat would mean having emotional confrontations — like having to let a patient's relatives know about their death. Would him not being able to handle this factor into his self-confidence issues?
