Their bodies rejecting the serum.

I followed his lead, he had something in his hand, I couldn't see what it was in the dark. We had walked about 4 feet into the room, and then he stopped. I didn't know why, he reached back and turned on the lights, we saw Wes. 

He was lying there, not dead but didn't look alive. I immediately ran over to him. Someone had hit him. He had fallen and hit his head on the table. I couldn't tell if the stuff on the ground was blood or serum, maybe both. Benjamin picked him up and we started to walk back out of the room. We didn't know where Deb or Nelson were, because they obviously didn't care about Ronald Burggs being dead. 

I was scared to go to Benjamin's office, it was near Nelsons and we had no clue where he was. We quietly opened the door, and of course I heard people coming. I again couldn't tell who they were, but they were different. They were quickly coming up the stairs that the hiding spot was at so we couldn't go there, and if we went the other way we would have to walk by the labs and the main offices, which would probably get us caught. We both knew that we couldn't go back into Wes's office because Deb and Nelson would eventually come back for him. We didn't know what to do, and I was panicking. They would be up the stairs any second now and we had nowhere to go. 

I was surprised that Benjamin could hold a 5'11 33 year old, he is 3 years older, but taller. I wanted to take off Wes's mask so he could actually breathe in something besides the serum, but I didn't. I didn't know if that would kill him instead. I wondered who knew Wes was alive. Was it just Deb and Nelson, or did everybody here know? I didn't want to risk exposing him so I would keep quiet. 

Me and Benjamin were just staring at each other, you could see the panic in eachothers eyes. Benjamin's eyes were a bright blue, that were fading into red. Supposably from the serum. My eyes were plain old brown. I didn't know why he was always getting lost in them, they were boring, nothing special. I could see Wes moving around a little. I think he was waking up or whatever. Me and Benjamin started walking down the hallway that would bring you to the main offices aka Deb, Nelson, Gary and Scott. There were also viewing windows to the testing labs.

 We started running as fast as possible, while still holding Wes. We walked by a lab room and I could hear the screaming people, it bugged me so much. We were running by Deb and Nelson's office, when we heard them inside, they said that something was off in the building, like there was an extra person.I looked up at Benjamin, we both knew where that was going. We couldn't stay outside of their office for long, but Benjamin wanted to know what they were talking about. Wes was half awake so he gave him to me to walk the rest of the way, we decided to leave the building. Benjamin put his ear up to the door while I started walking away with Wes. 

Whenever I walked by a lab I would look inside, and I regret that. I hated seeing those innocent people being injected with serum and then their bodies rejecting it. I had gotten about 12 feet away from Benjamin when I heard a loud bang. I just suspected that it was from one of the labs, but it wasn't. I turned around and saw that Benjamin had slipped...
