Shadow: *in a state of shock* I'm sorry...how long?Medic Girl: Two years. Some person with blue hair brought you here shortly after Grimm events happened in Atlas. Your lucky you got out before Atlas fell to the ground.
Shadow looks to his hands as he clenches them tightly before he slides off the bed.
Medic Girl: Hey, don't push yourself too hard. Your not really in a condition to fight, or really do much.
Shadow: We'll I'm not going to sit around and do nothing. I have a duty as a huntsman to protect those who can't protect themselves. *turns to the Medic Girl* Do you...mind if you show me around?
The girl looks at him puzzled before she nods and waves her hand to Shadow to follow her.
Izulia: My name's Izulia by the way. What's yours?
Shadow: I'm Shadow, Shadow Strife.
Izulia: Nice to meet you. I'll show you around the camp. Just try not to push yourself too hard.
Shadow: *shrugs* No promises.
Shadow and Izulia walks out of the medical tent, as Shadow squints his eyes from the sunlight. His eyes adjust before he see's the camp around him. Wooden walls surround the encampment, with multiple tents set up. A blacksmith hut is seen with a buff man with a hammer slamming on a freshly made sword. Some children are seen running around, playing a game of tag as they run by him. He lightly waves as Izulia joins him.
Shadow: Seems like you've been handling this Salem situation well, ever since Atlas was under attack from Grimm.
Izulia: Well, every since that world wide transmission to get the world together to stop Salem, we've done what we can.
Shadow: (So Ruby was able to get the message out. That's good to hear.) *smirks* You know, looking at this base, it reminds me of something. Way back in my early days.
Izulia: *chuckles* Oh come on, you say that as if your 50.
Shadow: *shrugs* Eh, when your 20 years old, childhood feels like an eternity ago. *looks up to the sky* But it feels nice to have the sky to look at, it feels so long since I saw it this clear
Izulia: I get that. For some, just seeing the bright blue sky is what gives us hope...
Shadow: Agreed, and hope is what we need.
Izulia: You know, I haven't heard the name Strife in some time.
Shadow: *surprised* You...know about my family?
Izulia: Not as much as you do, but I did read a few stories back then, about the Strife's and Schnee's fighting. Cecil Strife was a real role model for me.
Shadow: Oh, that's my great GrandFather. He's the reason I'm here today, along with some of my powers.
Izulia: That surprises me that a patient I took care of is a descendant of Cecil. Feels like I'm meeting my hero, despite everyone saying you never should meet your heroes.
Shadow: *shrugs* Well, sometimes meeting your hero can mean a lot, and help encourage you.
Izulia nods as the two keep walking before reaching the entrance of the camp.
Shadow: I wanted to ask, did you already have this camp set up, or was this more recent?
Izulia: It was around for a good time, but thanks to the leader of the Remnant Resistance, we've inspired other camps around Remnant to help the soldiers fighting in this Great War.
