We are in a forestry area some considerable miles from where the train stopped. In the wooded area, a simple wooden shack stands beside a large, ancient oak tree. This then cuts to the inside of the grey flooring, a few chairs, and a couple of tables. The Doctor and Jo lie down unconscious, with their hands tied together to the pair of them and their backs to each other when they wake up. The Doctor is the first to open his eyes. His vision is blurred, but he soon hears the Master's wicked laugh when he is sitting watching the Doctor on a chair. The Master holds his Tissue Compression Eliminator in one hand and his cigar he smokes in the other. He will occasionally smoke from it throughout the scene.

Master:

Welcome back, Doctor. I hope you and Ms Grant have had a good rest.

Doctor:

You? What are you up to this time?

Master:

Come, come, Doctor. Is that all you have to say to your old friend when you and Ms Grant are about to meet your demise?

Doctor:

Oh?

Master:

But I will tell you anyway what I am doing back on Earth in the late 20th century, and what will happen to your beloved planet after I bid you one last farewell.

Doctor:

Oh, do. I am dying to know.

Jo is beginning to wake up. She mumbles some words before she fully regains consciousness.

Jo:

Doctor? Doctor, where are we?

Doctor:

I'm right behind you. And look who it is also.

Jo turns to see the Master.

Jo:

Oh no.

Master:

Rest assured, Ms Grant. You will not have to tolerate my presence for much longer. I will soon be off to finish off destroying this Earth once and for all after I tell you what you are both doing here.

Jo:

That wouldn't be the first time I've heard that.

Master:

Yes, well, believe it or not, I have been able to convince the Morok people that I am their Chief Governor.

Doctor:

And the real Chief Governor deposed with forged credentials, of course.

Master:

Of course.

Jo:

And who are these Morons then?

Doctor:

Moroks, Jo. Not Morons. They were the people on the spaceship. The men dressed in white were once the rulers of a vast Empire of space.

Jo:

Like with Solos and Draconia.

Doctor:

That's it. But as I told you on Skybase, Empires rise, and Empires fall. The Morok's Empire was no exception. They kept relics of their conquests in a museum, and since then have spent the rest of their existence on their home world retaining it.

Jo:

Oh. And the Daleks, and the Ice Warriors?
