He looked different. He was taller. More handsome. He was a devil right out of your fantasy. His blue eyes pierced into Aurelia's brown orbs and his black hair was casually swept at the side as though he just came back after a run at the beach. Yohan was Aurelia's childhood friend, and that time he used to have a crush on her. She didn't think of him that way though. She thought of him as the annoying little brother of her brother's best friend. Complicated much. But he looked...different now. A good different. Aurelia's heart did a little pitter patter. What was up with that?!

"Sup Aur." Yohan's deep voice said.

"Hi." She whispered. She knew Yohan and Easton knew each other but how did he know where Easton lived? Yohan had moved from town a long time ago. But apparently he came back.

"Mom whose that?" Easton's voice came from inside the house.

Easton appeared at the door.

"YOHAN MY MAN!"

"EASTON" the two did that awkward man handshake. Aurelia stood there thinking, I'm dreaming. I'm dreaming about a drop dead gorgeous Easton and Yohan standing next to me and I'm dreaming about doing something I've never dared to do.

Aurelia cleared her throat.

"Right sorry Aur." Yohan said. She smiled and shrugged as if to say 'it's chill'. His blue eyes crinkled with amusement and affection?

"How are you doing Aurelia." He whispered, staring right into Aurelia's soul.

"I've been better but I'm managing." She shrugged. Her mouth was dry. Yohan was the exact replica of her childhood dream boyfriend.

Easton was staring at Aurelia and Yohan. He didn't know what was going on. Aurelia hated Yohan when they were children. She called him 'clingy' when he wasn't around.

Suddenly Yohan pulled Aurelia in for a hug. With the height difference, Aurelia barely reached his shoulder but she let him hold her. She hugged someone after a long time. His cologne was strong. But heavenly.

Easton cleared his throat. This was getting awkward.

"So...."

Yohan pulled back. Aurelia did the same. She was pretty sure her face was on fire. The same was with Yohan but he got over it pretty quickly.

"You guys wanna hang sometime?" Aurelia too, was over it.

"Busy." She said, hiding behind the strands of hair that slipped out from her braid.

"You hang out at Wanchester High's thunderstorm shelter. I think you're free to hang out with us." Ohhhhhhh he did not just go there. She hated Easton with all her might.

"You hang out with that rotten girlfriend of yours, who, might I add, your parents don't even know about. I think you're pretty busy too. Plus, I doubt Yohan," she gestured wildly at Yohan, "would want to hang out with your psycho girlfriend."

"Uh actually-" Yohan was cut off by Easton.

"Please. Aurelia, she's not even that bad. You're just jealous that I actually have some social relationship while you don't. If you tried, you could maybe be better at interacting with people. At least Zara knows not to wear the same dress everyday." Aurelia was close to tears. She understood that Zara was heartless and that she and Zara didn't really get along. But Easton knew her since she was born and he knew her whole sob story and still, he dared to aim at the fact that she didn't have many clothes so she had to wear the same dress most of the time.

"Easton. That's enough." Yohan said, surprisingly sternly.

Easton seemed to realize what he just blurted out and at least he had the courtesy to look ashamed.

"Aurelia I-"

"Don't." Aurelia said, tears pooling in her eyes, "just stop Easton. Don't ever talk to me ever again. And tell Mrs Angel the dinner was great. Tell her-tell her that I'm not going to come back next month or the months to follow."

"Aurelia-"

"Nice to see you again Yohan." Aurelia turned to him.

"Aurelia," Yohan started, "will you be okay?"

"I've never been okay. Not sure why I should start now." She turned around and ran away.
