"Wow! Mrs Angel, the food looks great!" And this time she meant it.

"Honey thank you! Did I tell you you look fantastic?" Aurelia was about to say 'yes' when Mrs Angel turned towards Easton but for some reason, the words didn't form in her mouth, "Easton dear doesn't Aurelia-"

"Mom you already said that to her and asked me the same thing." he blushed and dug into his chicken nuggets. Aurelia followed him and dug into her food as well. She almost groaned at the satisfaction of eating hand cooked food that was actually fresh out of the oven instead of eating the left-overs at McCheese, a fast-food restaurant where she knew a guy who had a part time job at the place. She bit her lip.

"The food is amazing Mrs Angel!" Polly didn't bother correcting Aurelia about the formal use of her name.

"Glad you liked it! I really wish you would come around here more often though. I figured since you and Easton go to the same school he would call you around more often." She sent a pointed look in the general direction of Easton.

Easton gulped down his beef burger. Aurelia had a vegetarian one because it was one thing to eat chicken nuggets but she believed it to be a complete sin to eat meat.

"Mom, she can come over whenever she wants." Easton looked at Aurelia now. She blushed at the fact that she had the Easton Angel's permission to go to his house whenever she wanted. Zara would kill her.

"Thank you but I wouldn't want to be a threat to anyone." She smiled sweetly. She looked at Easton. He seemed to get the message because he ducked down and blushed.

Mrs Angel, ever the oblivious, laughed.

"Ridiculous! Why would anyone feel threatened! Aurelia you are family. I don't think anyone would be surprised if you got up and announced you were Easton's girlfriend." Aurelia's mouth hung open. Her throat went dry.

"Umm...w-w- what?" She was tongue-tied.

"Oh you know. Easton doesn't date anyone. What a pathetic little son." Her eyes crinkled affectionately at Easton. Apparently she didn't mean the 'pathetic' part.

"I'd just love to have a girl around here sometimes. I only ever get that pleasure once a month which is hardly enough for me." Polly fake pouted.

Aurelia cleared her throat.

"What about Zara?"

"My my. Who in the world is that?! Never even heard of her before. My dear, Aurelia are you feeling alright?"

She didn't know.

"Fine Mrs Angel. Just got confused," Aurelia made a show of being baffled by shaking her head and smiling weakly, "nothing to worry about."

Yeah right. Who believed that nowadays?

"Oh that's quite alright sweetie." Polly looked at Aurelia and Easotn's now empty plates.

"You two can head upstairs to Easton's room and chat for sometime." Aurelia couldn't really say no could she?

She inwardly groaned. She didn't want to talk to Easton. Their talking was over a long time ago. She didn't need to talk to Zara's secret boyfriend. But lately, she was seeing them more than she wanted. She pushed back her chair and followed Easton.
