"Right." She whispered, not looking at Easton at all. She pushed past him, and continued down the hall not looking at the rest of the photos. Easton must've realised something was wrong because he jogged to keep up with her and said,
"Aurelia, did I say something?"
"You have a tongue, right? Meaning obviously you said something." Aurelia chose to act innocent.
"I mean, did I say something to offend you?"
Aurelia shrugged and before she could reply with a nasty comeback, Mrs Angel came.
"Aurelia darling! Lovely to see you! I swear you get prettier every time I see you. What do you think Easton?" She looked at Easton to see if he would agree. Aurelia knew he wouldn't because he had just told her that she didn't act like a girl. And Easton was more into girls like...Zara.
Easton just blushed and looked away.
"Nice to see you Mrs Angel." Aurelia smiled.
"Oh, call me Polly! No need for the formalities dear." Aurelia nodded.
"Is that Aurelia I hear?" A loud voice boomed from the house. A tall figure, a splitting image of Easton, appeared.
"Aurelia! How are you doing?" Mr Angel always had a hint of mirth in his voice which made him kinder than he appeared because of his height.
"I'm doing okay. How about you Mr Angel?"
"Darling, call him Daniel." Polly interrupted.
"I'm great Aurelia!"
"Shall we go to the dining room for dinner then?" Polly said. Aurelia nodded. The dining room was huge. It had Low lit candles that gave her a feeling of the medieval times.
"Mrs Angel- er- Polly, the food smells amazing!" Aurelia said, with a fake smile plastered on her face. It's not like the food didn't smell good-it did- just that she said it for the sake of complimenting. She wasn't used to social interaction so she wasn't sure what to say and what not. As Polly and Daniel set the table- they thought Easton and Aurelia should do some bonding- Easton whispered, "Aurelia I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say that. You know what I meant. You're just not like the other girls."
"So? That doesn't really give you the right to call a girl, not girl like."
"I know and I'm sorry. I didn't mean it that way. It's just you're different to talk to. I can't just spew out compliments about how you're looking today because I know you would kick my butt if I did." Aurelia understood. She smiled.
"I guess I would." Easton smiled.
"So, we're good?"
"As good as two enemies can be."
"I can live with that."
"Good, cause I'm not going to change my mind." Aurelia chuckled.
"Dinner is ready!"
"Cmon." Easton whispered.
