"So... wanna tell me why you said all that jerky stuff to Aur?" Yohan broke the awkward silence that followed after Aurelia left.

"I-I-I don't know man! I just-"

"No Easton you don't understand! She said she was too busy to hang out with us because she doesn't like us. And it's fair. We weren't there for her. And I know I was gone but you were in the country weren't you? Who is this Zara by the way?"

Easton felt like crumbling.

"Yohan." Easton was lost and he didn't know his way home. Everyone called him the 'golden boy'. He didn't feel like the golden boy. He felt like the brown boy. He felt like shit.

"Just leave it be man. Until you realize that Aurelia is going through a pretty shitty time right now and that she needs someone to take care of her, I don't think I can look at you. Oh and by the way, I'm transferring to your school."

Another day, another pain. Aurelia was tired. She couldn't sleep very well in her car that night because of what Easton said. She glanced at the blue box on the seat of her car. She was saving up money from her three jobs so she could afford a house. But now that she thought of it, maybe living in a car wasn't such a bad thing. She took all of her loose change, which totalled up to fifty dollars and decided to get a new piece of clothing.

I don't know a thing about shopping for clothes! Aurelia internally screamed. She looked at the racks full of clothes wondering what to do.

"Aurelia you shouldn't have taken Easton's remark to heart." Aurelia would recognize that voice anywhere. Yohan.

"Who said this has anything to do with that?"

"Aurelia, why are you buying new clothes?"

"Why does it have to be, cause of what Easton said? Why can't I be buying new clothes cause I want to impress my boyfriend?" Ok. Aurelia was trying way too hard. She internally gagged at the thought of having a boyfriend.

"So you have a boyfriend?" Yohan raised an eyebrow.

"Yuck! NO!" Aurelia yelled.

"Why are you doing this Aur? Or the better question is, do you know how to shop?" If anyone else would have said it Aurelia would have thrown a huge tantrum, but coming from Yohan it was just...natural.

"No, I don't." She admitted.

"I'll help you. Here hand me your money," Aurelia's eyes widened, "I meant you won't need to use this. I'll buy you whatever you want. Go choose something you like and try it on."

"What?! I can't let you buy me clothes! That's like...that's like a baby trying to buy glasses for an old lady!"

"Aurelia relax. I'm only trying to help you. I want to make up for the time I was gone."

"But you shouldn't owe me Yohan."

"I don't. But I want to."

Aurelia huffed in defeat once she saw his eyes. She walked around the store, gagging at the pretty pink dresses. Finally she spotted something she liked. It was a black, leather jacket. She took a black crop top along with some black jeans. She didn't need shoes because she had her boots and she liked them. She smiled at Yohan and he smiled back. She went into the trying room.

When Aurelia opened the door, Yohan's jaw dropped. She didn't notice, thankfully.

"Well...?" Aurelia fidgeted with the jacket. She looked nervous.

"Uhhh...." Yohan was at a loss of words, "you look..."

"I can go change if you want!" Aurelia exclaimed.

"NO! I mean... uhh...you look good Aur. Black is definitely your colour. I say you get it." Aurelia smiled. It was like a ray of sunshine peeking out after a cloudy day. Yohan felt like he was going to start floating any second.

"Ok."

After Yohan and Aurelia were done purchasing the outfit, Aurelia suddenly hugged him.

"Thank you. No-one's ever done that for me." she whispered into his blue t-shirt which he somehow was able to look good in.

"Aurelia stop thanking me. I'm here for you ok?" he said softly, his mouth moving against her hair.

Yohan wasn't going to lie. Her hair smelt good. It smelt like dewdrops on a summer morning. She smelt...fresh. Not like the other girls who sprayed bottles and bottles of chemicals on themselves.

"I know...it's just sort of hard to believe I guess. I hated you and after all these years you show up and act like a gentleman and everything and ever since my brother died, this is the first time I've actually felt like I am...something. Others made me feel like nothing."

"You think I'm a gentleman?" Yohan smirked. s

Aurelia pulled away.

"I'm going to smack off that smirk of yours."

"How?" Yohan's eyebrow shot up, and he grinned mischievously.

"Ugh. I'm so sick of you."

"I can change that."

"Are you even trying  to make up for the time you missed?"

"You want me to? I'm single if that's what this twisted conversation is about."

"You disgust me." Aurelia threw her hands in the air.

"Maybe but uh...I'm not that bad when it comes to kissing." Yohan puckered his lips and made gross smacking noises.

"BYE YOHAN!"

She walked away, but Yohan noticed her red, red, red face that it made his stomach grumble for tomatoes.
