"Daddy Lucas! Come on! Let's make a snowman!" I heard Devin, shouting excitedly as he was starting to make a snowball.

"Yup, I'm coming! Hey Love, could you take some pictures? Thanks!" Lucas said as he quickly rushed over to Devin to help him make the snowball larger.

It was a cold and snowy morning, and Devin wanted to go to the park to play with the other children he could meet. But, to my surprise the park was empty, there were no children running around or laughing or any adults that were chatting.

It was a bit odd, this park always had a lot of people, especially during winter. But now, it was void of any other life. It was void of interaction and warmth..

I snapped back from my thoughts as I heard Lucas shout to take some pictures of him and Devin along with the snowman that they made.

"Wow, that snowman looks amazing! Devin, you did such a good job buddy!" I ruffled his hair a bit, and took a picture of him with the snowman that was double his height.

"Hey, what about me? Didn't I do a good job too?" Lucas pouted as he picked up Devin, and gave him a hug.

"Hehe, you did a great job daddy Lucas!" Devin giggled as he hugged Lucas back and gave him small pats on the head.

I took a picture of them, to capture this cute moment.

"Let's all take a group picture with the snowman, come on!" Lucas said which made Devin excited.

"Oh, Love, I'll just-"

"Nope, you're going to be in the picture. Now come on." He said as little Devin just nodded as he gave me what looked like a serious look, which just made me chuckle.

"Alright." I said lightly smiling, then switched to the front camera and took our picture. We all looked to see if the picture turned out good, and all of us, the snowman included, were smiling.

"Now, who's hungry? Co'z I am." I said, looking at my watch seeing that it was already lunch time, feeling a bit hungry as my stomach lightly rumbled.

"Me! Me! I wanna eat!" Devin eagerly said, lifting up his hand.

"Well, what do you wanna eat buddy?" Lucas asked and he held one of Devin's hands. Then, we all started walking back to the car.

"Nuggies!" Devin excitedly said, wanting to eat chicken nuggets from McDonalds.

"McDonalds, here we come!" Lucas eagerly said, and opened the car door, then set Devin in the children's seat.

I sat on the driver's seat then started the car, while Lucas sat beside me on the passenger's seat.

"Off to McDonalds we go!" I excitedly said, as Devin responded with a squeal of excitement and raised both of his hands up, earning a giggle from Lucas.

...

After eating lunch, we noticed that the mall was filled with people rushing to get their Christmas gifts, some were still buying decorations. Maybe that's why the park was so empty, everyone was here shopping.

"Luckily for us, we're done decorating. Devin was really helpful when daddy was decorating!" Lucas said and gave Devin a little nose kiss, which made the little one giggle.

They continued to talk about Christmas, and what we'll be cooking for food, will we have visitors, and thinking of other fun places we could go to after Christmas.

We were walking around, and I saw a jewelry store and toy store. I thought of something really good. I'll buy Devin and Lucas some early Christmas gifts. This is a great idea.
