"I think I'm getting sunburnt." Robbie said, though he made no move to get away from the sun. It was a nice day out and he'd decided to spend his afternoon in the gardens, as far away from the Palace as he could get without Angel stopping him. Scott was away for the time being, and no matter how upset he was with the older Omega, he couldn't help but feel anxious with him away. Allen was busy with looking after the Palace too, so Robbie had been lonelier than usual.

Suddenly, the sun was no longer burning directly on his face so he cracked his eyes open, blinking up at his personal guard. Angel was standing over where he was sprawled out on a comfortable patch of grass, now blocking the harmful UV rays from continuing to hurt his sensitive skin. "Oh, thank you."

Angel hummed in response, seemingly fine despite having endured the same amount of sun exposure as he. "It's getting close to dinner time, ma'am." Their way of telling him it was time to go inside without saying it directly.

"I'm not hungry yet, I want to stay out here forever."

"Lord Perez would be worried if you stayed outside too late."

"If he's so worried he can come get me himself, Angel."

His guard didn't respond, likely deciding that arguing with him about it a lost cause. That or they didn't really care. Regardless, he was left to his own thoughts again, this time, more comfortably without the sun glaring into his eyelids.

His preheat had just started. It wasn't anything much yet, just a general feeling of wanting to stuff his face with carb-laden foods and increased irritability. He wasn't sure if anyone else had noticed yet, but he'd probably be in heat a couple of days from now. It made him nervous, because Scott wasn't due to be home for another week at the least, and he wasn't sure if he wanted to spend his heat alone or with Allen. He had no doubt that the Alpha would respect whatever boundaries he set, would take care of him perfectly if he allowed him to, but he wanted Scott to be there. It was only his second heat, and he wanted as much familiarity as possible.

He would have to talk to Allen about it, no doubt the Alpha would notice that his heat was nearing tonight.

He supposed he'd spend a couple of more minutes out there, then head inside. Despite his words he didn't really want Allen to worry, especially when he was bogged down with so many responsibilities. He was just getting ready to sit up and complain some more when Angel stiffened above him.

"Lady Robbie, I believe it's time to head inside." They said, extending their hand towards him. He took it immediately, if only because they wouldn't be so direct if something wasn't wrong. Their expression was as neutral as ever though; a carefully constructed mask of indifference. If it had been that big of an emergency, certainly they would be more visibly concerned right? "We wouldn't want Lord Perez to become worried about you, ma'am." They said, only a little louder than they normally would have.

Robbie nodded as he allowed himself to be pulled up, keeping his ears on alert without looking around too much. He couldn't hear anything out of the ordinary, just the sounds of the leaves rustling in the wind and a couple of bird chirps, and even the scents around them were typical of the gardens, of flowers and dirt, but clearly Angel had noticed something he didn't.

They began to head inside but didn't make it more than a few hundred feet before something was whizzing through the air. Robbie blinked as they halted, and suddenly there was a dart embedded in his guard's neck. Angel stayed upright for a moment, body rigid before they swayed slightly, then crumpled to the ground in an unconscious heap.
