Bleed

"A-Andre, I'm b-bleeding..." I whispered, can't stop myself from stuttering as tears continued to roll down from my eyes down to my cheeks.

Nanlalaki ang mga matang lumapit sa akin si Andre. He quickly ran to me as he looked down on me. "Andre, w-what am I going to do?" kinakabahan kong tanong dito.

I'm starting to get cold sweats as my heart didn't stop from beating so fast. "T-This wasn't supposed to happen. I am not supposed to bleed, Andre!" sigaw ko rito.

I don't know why I am bleeding. Hindi ko alam. I didn't do anything bad. I am very careful the whole time I am carrying this child!

Agad lumapit sa akin si Andre at saka tinulungan akong ayusin ang aking damit. He knelt down in front of me as he cupped my face in between his hands. "It's okay, Imo. Everything will be okay..." bulong nito.

I kept on shaking my head to the side as my tears started to fall harder. "I-I can't... My baby... Please, don't take my child away from me..." walang tigil kong iyak.

Tumango-tango ito sa akin bilang sagot. I felt the tip of his thumb softly caress my wet cheeks, trying his best to calm me down. "We won't. We won't lose the baby," sagot nito. "For now, let's go to the hospital, okay? So that we can get you checked," he softly said. He even gave me a small smile to assure me that everything will be alright.

I nodded as response and he immediately helped me stand up from the toilet seat. He grabbed my left arm and hooked it around his neck to support me. Dahil sa sobrang panghihina sa pagkakakita sa dugo ay hindi ko na ata kayang maglakad pang mag-isa.

"Do you feel any pain? Do I need to do something else for you to get comfortable?" nag-aalala nitong tanong.

I slowly nodded as my forehead creased. "T-The cramps... It's getting stronger," nanghihina kong sagot.

I can't really explain what the cramps feel like. It was nothing like the cramps that I have felt in the past for my periods. It is much more intense and really spreads throughout your whole system. The pain... It's blinding to the point that I can no longer concentrate. Including the tears that still doesn't stop from falling, I can't see anything. All I can sense is Andre's warm body beside me, supporting me together with his calm voice.

Hindi ko na lamang namalayan ay nakapasok na pala kami sa kotse. He made me step in the passenger's seat first as I heard him closed the door immediately. I leaned my body to the backrest of the seat as my hands slowly wandered around my body.

It crawled towards my stomach as I slowly touched my small bump. Mas lalong lumakas ang pagbuhos ng aking mga luha nang maramdaman ito. "Please don't leave mommy. Please... I don't know if I can take it if you leave me..." I whispered to it as I caressed ny stomach with my hands.

Narinig ko na lamang ang pagbukas ni Andre ng pintuan ng driver's seat kasabay ng pagkakarinig ko sa kaniyang nagmamadaling boses na tunog may kausap sa telepono. I wiped my tears using the back of my palm as I looked at his direction.

"Yeah, my wife is bleeding. She's at least ten weeks pregnant," seryoso nitong sagot. Kunot na kunot ang kaniyang noo habang inaayos ang pagkakaupo sa upuan. "Yeah, we're already on our way there... Okay, okay thank you," he said and turned the phone call off.

Nang lumapat sa akin ang kaniyang mga titig ay agad nawala ang kunot sa kaniyang noo. It was quickly replaced with a small smile. "You and the baby will be fine..." he whispered as his right hand caressed my left cheek.

I leaned onto it as I nodded. Muling bumalik ang unti-unting pag-init ng aking mga mata nang marinig ang kaniyang malumanay na mga salita.

I just wish that it's really safe. I don't want it to leave us. Please, don't leave us early, my little angel...
