"Patience," tawag ni Blaze. "Patience sweetheart," he continued.
Bahagyang nagising si Patience. "What? I'm sorry what?" she asked. Tumingin siya sa paligid, the surrounding looks familiar. Doon niya panansin na ang kamay ni Blaze ay nasa binti niya and she slowly pushed it away, kahit na ayaw ng isipan niya. "We're at my house," she stated.
Instead of answering, lumabas si Blaze ng kotse and opened the other side of the door. "Let's go," wika nito.
She held his hand and both of them walked through the garden. Pakiramdam ni Patience ay wala siya sa sarili. She's following everything he says. She took a deep breath and relaxed herself. She tried to go back and remember all the things that happened tonight.
I went to dinner with Luke and… "Oh my God! Si Luke!" She exclaimed. She removed her hands to his.
"Patience, what about Luke?" Tanong nito.
"I left him, in the restaurant. This is supposed to be our date and now I'm with you!" She said. Ano pa ang nangyari? Then… then.. "We… we.. um.. we," she stammered. Hindi alam kung papaano sasabihin.
"We kissed," he continued. Lumapit si Blaze kay Patience and cuffed her face. He looked at her lips before staring at her eyes. "And it was a damn good kiss. It would be my pleasure to continue pero I wanted to see Louisa, I was so worried noong nasa party tayo. I would have went with you personally pero, Luke is already at your side." He said.
Bago pa man makasagot si Patience, lumabas na ng pintuan si Louisa at Tina. "Mommy! Tito Blaze!" Sigaw nito at tumakbo sa dereksyon ni Blaze.
"Hey Louisa, how are you?" Bati ni Blaze habang karga si Louisa.
"I'm okay. Thank you for the flowers," she said.
"You are always welcome little girl," he said. "Hi Tina," bati nito sa kaibigan.
"Hi Blaze, this is a nice surprise," bati ni Tina, she smiled widely habang nakatingin kay Patience.
Ngumit lamang si Blaze. Ibinaba nito si Louisa at hinila siya papasok sa loob ng bahay. "Come, tito. Let's go inside," yaya nito.
Lumapit si Tina sa kaibigan at umakbay sa balikat. "Nasaan si Luke? Kala ko ba siya kadate mo?" Pabulong na tanong nito, habang patuloy silang naglakad papasok.
"I know, um.. Nasa restaurant pa. Naiwan..." Akmang magsasalita si Tina. "With Blaze's sister," she added.
"I don't understand. Bakit magkasama kayo ni Blaze? Did something happened?" Tanong ni Tina.
Hindi niya alam ang isasagot sa kaibigan. "Not really," matipid niyang wika. She felt herself blush. Instead na maguilty, she found herself smiling for no reason.
"Something did happen," tukso ni Tina. "Chika mo sa akin, dali!"
Ngumiti na lamang si Patience at iniwan ang kaibigan sa pintuan na nag-aantay ng sagot.
Nadatnan niya sa sala si Blaze at Louisa playing with the teacups. They are both enjoying each other's company. Para silang mag-ama, and Patience can't help but smile.
If Louis is still alive, he would be the one sitting in there. Ito dapat ang nakikipaglaro at nagpapangiti sa anak nila, pero Patience have to accept the fact na wala na si Louis. She has been hurting for so long na hindi niya kayang buksan ang puso sa ibang tao. A lot has tried to win her over pero hindi niya ito pinapansin. She need to move on para sa sarili at sa kanyang anak.
And right now she thinks she is ready to move on and love someone.
"Mommy, do you want some tea?" Yaya ni Louisa hawak ang plastic na tasa.
