9 - Luke

Kumain sina Patience and Luke sa isang french restaurant. He was a good company, hindi nauubosan ng kwento and he is very funny.

"So you and Blaze are cousins?"

"Second cousin. Pero mostly, business partners ang mga magulang namin, kaya kami naging close. I took this job as an experience," he answered. Luke needs this job according to his strict father, he needed to prove himself to be able to inherint their company. Hindi na siya nagreklamo lalo na't sa pinsan niya ito nagtatrabaho.

"Any siblings?"

"I'm an only child. Unlike Blaze, he has a half brother and a sister. Why do I feel like this is an interview?"he asks.

"No it's not. Getting to know each other lang. You can ask me anything." She offered.

"Are you single? You are to pretty to be one." He blurted.

Natawa si Patience "Are you hitting on me?"

"Is it working?" he said and smiled slyly.

She laughed before answering "No, it's not and Yes, I'm single and a mother," she revealed.

Halatang nagulat si Luke sa sinabi niya. He wrinkled his brow, but in his eyes doesn't show any disgust or displeasure. Hindi katulad ng ibang tao na pinagsasabihan niya sa estado ng buhay niya as a single mother ay pity and disapprovance. Like being a single mother is a sin. His expression shows differently "Really? That's amazing. How old is your... uhm."

"Daughter," she added. "She's five years old."

"If you don't mind me asking. About the father?" he asked.

She looked at him for a moment and sipped the glass of water before answering "Of course not. He died before Louisa was born."

"I'm sorry" he apologized. "Now, I like you even more. "

"Talagang sinasabi mo ang lahat ng nasa isip mo. So straight forward," she commented.

"Mas gusto kong direct to the point. I would love to meet your lovely daughter, soon. Kung pwede?" he asked.

"Sure. I really enjoyed having lunch with you, you are a good company," she answered.

"So are you. I hope we'll do this again next time?"

"Of course" she said.

Sabay na bumalik si Luke and Patience sa trabaho. Continuing their conversation about anything na pwede pag-usapan. Akala ni Patience, Luke is one of those guys na walang ibang gawin kundi ibida ang sarili sa bawat kwento, he is different. You can see the sincerity in every word that he says. He maybe a little bit flirt but sincere, which top's it all.

"You're late." Sabay silang napalingon sa boses na narinig sa likuran nila. It's Blaze. Nagdilim ang mukha nito. Late na sila ng 15 minutes.

"Bro, sorry. Masyadong napasarap usapan namin ni Patience and forgot the time." Luke said apologetically.

"Pasensya na sir," ani Patience.

"This better be the last time, Miss Jimenez. You are here to do a job, not to flirt with anyone." May halong banta sa boses niya. Hindi alam ni Patience kung nagagalit ba ito. Fifteen minutes lang 'yon! Gusto niyang isigaw.

Tumango lamang siya. She didn't want to argue with him, dahil alam niya na siya ang may mali.

"Last time na 'to bro. Next time, it'll be dinner. Kulang sa time ang lunch date e," sabat ni Luke and winked at her.

Napansin ni Patience ang galit sa mga mata ni Blaze bagaman iglap lang iyon. "Just get back to work." Sagot ni Blaze at humakbang palayo.

"Pabayaan mo 'yon. Malapit na kasi nag-menopause iyon kaya masungit," biro ni Luke.

She just smiled before walking away.

Hey Sweeties,

Sorry for this very short update.. Gusto ko kasi nakilala ninyo si Luke, but slowly lang.. My goal here kasi, is to make you fall in love with every male character sa buhay ni Patience... hahaha Ambisyosa ko! Somehow nahihirapan ako.. I'm gonna watch and read a lot of romantic things today to make me fall in love again and create a hulog-panty scene... hahaha... ito ang mahirap sa single eh, you are not inspired everyday dahil you're alone :( Happy Love Month Sweeties!
