"MAAYOS na po ang pakiramdam ko, pwede ba po ba akong umalis?" paalam ni Patience sa babaeng Doctor.
"Nahihilo ka pa ba? Headaches? Nanghihina? I would suggest you should go home and rest," payo nito.
"No, I'm fine. Please let me work," she begged. It's her first day at work and now she's sick. Not a very good way to make a first impression. The face of Blaze pops in her mind. Noong una, naiinis siya rito. It's his fault begin with, but then at least he has a heart dahil dinala pa siya nito sa clinic. Nakonsyensa lang siguro!
The Doctor sighed before nodding. "Sige, but if you feel anything at all. You will come here, okay?"
She smiled in return. "Thank you." Kinuha niya ang bag sa mesa at lumabas ng clinic. She looked at her watch and it was almost lunch time.
Her first thought ay pupunta sa conference room, to check on her team and apologize. She opened the door in the conference and everyone was there, her team, Luke and Blaze, nakatingin sa kanya ang lahat.
"What are you doing here?" si Blaze ang unang nagsalita.
"Andito ako para magtrabaho. Bawal ba?" Sagot niya.
"You are supposed to be resting," ani Blaze.
"I'm fine. I need to work. I'm sorry for the inconvenience," she apologized. Nakatingin sa kanilang dalawa ang lahat na parang ayaw nilang andito siya, but Luke is just smiling at her, he seemed pleased.
"Pabayaan mo na lang siya Blaze. As long as she's fine, like she said at kaya niya. Then everything is good," wika ni Luke.
Blaze looked at her intently. He opened his mouth to answer pero hindi na nito itinuloy ang gusto sasabihin at tumango lamang.
Lumapit si Luke sa kanya, pulled an empty chair in front of her at umupo naman siya. He sat beside her and the meeting continued.
AFTER the meeting, isa-isa nang nagligpit ng gamit ang mga kasama niya. Lumabas na ang iba at ang huli ay Patience at Blaze.
Blaze was about to go out when she said something. "Thank you."
He stopped and looked at her. "Para saan?"
"Luke said na ikaw ang nagdala sa akin sa clinic," sagot niya.
"Natural lang 'yon for my employee. Next time, don't go to work if you are not feeling well. Nakakaabala ka lang ng tao," seryoso nitong sabi.
For a second, Patience thought na tao rin pala si Blaze, marunong mag-alala. Then she was wrong. "What? It was your fault in the first place! Binigyan mo ako ng rush project, I didn't slept last night because of it. Tapos you rejected them and now I'm a nuisance?" naiinis niyang wika.
"Kaya nga sinabi kong, sana hindi ka nalang pumasok kung masama pala pakiramdam mo." He repeated.
"Para ano? You'll call me a lazy employee? Absent on her first day of work. Hindi ko alam kung ano'ng mas maganda pakinggan. Nuisance or Lazy?" she said sarcastically.
His face changed from anger to confusion. "I didn't say you were lazy," depensa niya.
This is the worst day ever. Halo-halong emotion ang nararamdaman niya and all of them are negative. "Hindi na lang sana ako nag-thank you," aniya. She stormed out in the conference room, not bothering to look back kahit na tinawag siya ni Blaze. She hated seeing his face, mas lalo na't makakasama niya ito hanggang matapos ang project.
She keep on walking and walking, didn't care where her feet would bring her. Everytime she would talk to him, she would keep reminding herself that he is her boss. Be nice to him, but he keeps on pushing the wrong button. Every conversation they've had has been a disaster. Naiinis siya rito pero hindi niya magawang nagalit. Maybe because everything in him screams 'Louis', and she didn't want that.
Napahinto siya nang makitang nakarating na siya sa dagat. She inhaled the fresh salty air, para makapagrelax. To calm her. Makulimlim ang kalangitan kaya't hindi mainit. Hinubad niya ang sandals at nilaro ang buhangin sa kanyang paa.
"I thought you wanted to work," nagulat siya sa boses sa kanyang likod.
Hindi na siya mag-abalang tingnan ang binatang nagsalita. Alam niya kung kanino ang boses iyon. It was the same voice of the love of her life. "Bakit mo ako sinundan? Can't you see I wanted space. Distance"
"I'm sorry if I said the wrong thing back there. I don't know what came in to me. I just wanted to apologize," sagot nito.
She inhaled sharply before answering. "No, ako dapat ang mag sorry. I snapped on you. I shouldn't have said that"
"I'm sorry for all the wrong things that I did since the very beginning. Can we start over?" He asks.
Patience nodded and extended her hand to him. "Sure. I'm Patience Jimenez. I hope we can work together until this project is done."
He accepted the gesture. "I'm Blaze Collins, the handsome owner of the Quartz Resort and Hotel. I hope the same," he smiled brightly.

It seems like, everything is well in the Blatience Loveteam. Wala masyadong role si Luke today as you can see, iisa lang ang line niya. But mind you he is a very important character. Hahaha (OA ko)
