"What did you tell my mom yesterday?'' I asked Megan. We were in our lab, she was organizing books on the shelf. She was still organizing books when she said in her most concerned voice.
''Why do you want to know.'' She asked me. I felt anger rushed through me.
''Well, are you going to tell me I'm not ready to know yet?'' I said with so much bitter. She stopped abruptly and looked at me. ''I don't know, but what's the point of giving me a lesson when you can't even tell me everything.'' I said with so much intensity. She opened her mouth to say something, but I didn't give her a chance to speak. ''I mean, if I knew you weren't going to tell me anything, I would not have told you anything about the stuff I've seen and the whispers I kept hearing.'' I said, really angry. ''Don't you think I know you hate the Protectors.'' I spat at her. She was blushing furiously.
''Every time I'm mentioning the Protectors, I can see hatred in your eyes, let me guess, you don't even like Alec, just because he's a Protector.'' I said, angrily. She was blushing really bad when she said.
''Don't TRUST the Protectors, NEVER in your life trust the Protectors.'' She said angrily. I just had enough with everything. Everything around me was shaking, books were falling on the ground, I was so angry that I just couldn't control myself. Megan was both afraid and angry.
''Alec saved me from those creatures and you're telling me to not trust him, how could I not? I'm dating Alec and you can't do anything about it whether you like it or not." There was anger in her eyes, she was blushing furiously, I didn't think I've seen anyone blush like that.
''GET. OUT. NOW.'' She screamed.
''Oh, like I wanted to stay another second of my life here.'' I said and disappeared. I was now used to the awkward feeling of me disappearing. A moment later, I was in the living room, my mom was reading a book, she looked up, she was not surprised with me appearing out of nowhere, she was used to it.
She looked at her watch and looked back at me with both confusion and concern in her eyes.
''You're early.'' She said curiously. ''I thought lesson ends at three o'clock.'' She was looking at me, I could still see sadness in her eyes, I looked back at her, she was waiting for me to answer, but what was I going to say, that I had a fight with Megan, and that Megan really hated me now.
Well, I would probably be grounded if my mom found out, I didn't want to talk about it, and if I just left the room, my mom would be worried, and if I talked about it, I probably would not control my power. She was still looking at me. I just didn't want to talk to anybody right now.
"What time is it?'' I just asked. She looked at me then at her watch.
''One o'clock and sixteen.''
''Thanks, any good news.''
"Yeah, your dad called." She said and I could feel excitement rushed through me. "He said he'll video chat with you at four.''
''Four, why that late.'' I said disappointedly.
"Um. Because I told him you'd be available at that time."
''Oh well, I guess I'll talk to him later.'' I said, a bit disappointed.
''Sorry.'' My mom said.
''Why are you sorry?''
''Because you are disappointed.'' She said. I moved to sit by her. ''Why are you sad?'' She asked. I just shrugged, I was sad, but it wasn't because of my dad, it was something else, I was thinking of how I lost control of my power. 'What if I lose control again and destroy the whole world. It could give me some serious pain, what if because I can't control my power, I kill the ones I love accidentally?' I hated my power, it was like my power wasn't something for me to be proud of. For me, my power was just a curse.
