A yawn emitted from your lips as you attempted to stretch but couldn't, Your eyes shot open and you looked behind you to see the familiar Mercenary holding you in a tight grip.
You sighed and struggled to get out of his grip which he only tightened it around you.
You sighed again, a frustrated sigh this time and struggled out of Naib's grip.
You eventually got out of it and threw the silk sheets off of you, You grabbed an outfit and walked into your bathroom to change.
The outfit was simple again, a black shirt with yet another white skirt.

Nothing fancy, really. You fixed your shoes and opened the bathroom door to see Naib sitting up and rubbing his eyes.
"Morning Naib." You said calmly, The Mercenary's eyes shot open at the mention of his name and a voice.
"Wh-" you let out a small chuckle cutting him off, "No we didn't do 'it' or anything for that sake. You came into my room and.. fainted I think? I'm not really sure but Emily told me you were sleep deprived, and.. you seemed like you were so.. I let you sleep on my bed, but you dragged me in the bed — with you."

The Mercenary looked down shyly which you laughed at, You left your room and walked to his grabbing a random outfit that you threw together for him.
Walking back to your room, Many people passed by, like Martha. Which she stopped you and asked a few questions.
"I see you two are getting along, is that correct?" She asked raising a brow.
"Sort of..?" You said, which sounded more like you were asking a question.

She raised a brow at your answer which made you awkwardly chuckle.
"Well, atleast you two are getting along some way. You both have a match soon, tell him as well if you can." Martha said with a smile before she left you to go talk with Tracy about something.

You walked back into your room to see Naib drinking his glass of water, "Sorry, was this yours?" He asked, you shook your head no and spoke,
"It was for you, I was supposed to give you panadol when you woke up but, i'm assuming you already took it?"
The Mercenary nodded and you placed down the outfit that you chose for him on your bed, "Here, go change into this in the bathroom."
Naib obeyed you words and walked in, then out about 2 minutes later.

"We have a match soon together." You said looking him in his eyes, he didn't respond but simply hummed and left your room.
As surprising as it may sound, you enjoyed Naib's company.
Even if he hated your guts and didn't enjoy your company, you enjoyed his.

You met Naib and your other teammates in the waiting room and greeted them all with a smile, as well as Naib of course as a way not to be rude. Your other two teammates were Tracy and Andrew, which gave you a higher rate of winning as the two always assist, decode, and rescue when told to do so.
You sat down on the old oak chair and ran your fingers over on the pointy bits of the wood, You peered through the curtains in an attempt to see the hunter, which you saw an umbrella which made you assume it was Wu Chang, again.

You pressed the ready button realising they were all waiting on you and your vision faded to a black only to fade into lighter colours.
You recognised the map as Ever-sleeping town and ran to the nearest cipher.
"Focus on decoding!" You yelled as you started to decode the cipher machine, Naib joined you in decoding not shortly after you almost reached halfway with decoding it.
The two of you were silent until you missed a calibration halfway in.
"Fuck.." You mumbled before running behind a pallet to hide, Naib did the same but behind another pallet.
Fan switched to Xie and he looked around before going after Tracy, A ding ran through the map signalling Tracy had been incapacitated, you thought she had vaulted over a pallet and got knocked down in the pallet.
You and Naib ran back to the cipher you two were decoding to finish it up, Tracy was chaired and you left Naib to finish the cipher while you went to go save Tracy.

Naib popped the cipher you two were decoding and another one followed in the distance which you assumed Andrew had decoded.
You gave Xie a quick smile which made him confused and gave you some time to free Tracy.
You quickly rescued Tracy and body blocked her getting hit in the process,
"HERE, QUICKLY Y/N!" Tracy yelled behind a pallet which you dashed behind limping in the process.
You quickly turned around to be grazed with Xie's umbrella before Tracy threw down the pallet and stunning Xie.
The two of you bolted in a different direction and a cipher popped in the distance leaving two more ciphers,
Your heartbeat went away and you sighed in relief —  panting as you healed Tracy back to full health, which she did the same to you.
You ran to a nearby cipher to see Andrew and Naib decoding it, the two of you joined them in decoding it which made it finish way faster, while you four ran to another cipher you found the dungeon and yelled out "The dungeon is here!"

You four ran to the cipher and decoded it, Tracy, Naib and Andrew were decoding it while you were on the lookout as there wasn't a fourth space to decode.

You saw Fan in the distance and dragged the three with you behind a wall with Fan passing by looking around.
Fan left not shortly after and you let the three continue decoding.
The three popped the cipher machine and you bolted to a nearby exit gate with your persona speed ability.
You decoded the exit gate with the three waiting behind you patiently, you had only just started to reach halfway before Naib pushed you off of it with a smirk and he continued decoding it, you glared daggers at him which he only continued smirking at your expression.
You tackled him to the ground pushing him away before you continued decoding the exit gate, you finished decoding it with a smile and the two behind you sighed at you and Naib's childish actions.
"Sometimes I think you guys are kids because of what you do.." Andrew mumbled which resulted in Tracy elbowing him in the ribs.
"Have some manners, Andrew."

The four of you left the map and ever since that match, You and Naib had actually started to.. get along and get closer, much closer.

Everyday you'd visit each other, talk, play together in matches. You two practically did everything together.
You snuck behind Naib quietly before tackling him to the ground and scaring him.
You laughed as he shrieked but soon relaxed when he realised it was you.
"You scared me to death Y/N." The Mercenary said breathing out.
You laughed standing up and helping him up,
The two of you walked to the kitchen and you smiled at Martha, which she returned the smile before winking, she walked over to you and whispered in your ear something Naib couldn't hear.
"You two would make a cute couple." She smirked before leaving you flustered, "Y/N are you okay? Your face is red.." Naib said.
You snapped out of your thoughts before giving a small smile to The Mercenary,
"I'm alright, I promise." Naib returned the smile before you grabbed a glass and filled it up with water, Which Naib also did the same.
The two of you walked up the stairs and onto the balcony that both hunters and survivors go up on.
Not many people went here, mostly you two, You'd see people like Wu Chang, Joseph, Jack and a few others occasionally.

But then again, mostly you two.
The two of you leaned against the railing of the balcony and talked about god knows what for hours, you'd occasionally look at the sunset and say how pretty or beautiful it looks, Which the Mercenary responded with things like "Not as beautiful as you.." But he didn't say it aloud for you to hear it, he mumbled it as he was afraid of what you would say.
You let out a yawn and you and Naib walked towards the library to read, You had a love for reading and apparently so did The Mercenary.
Horror, Mystery, Romance, all of your favourite genres.
The two of you sat on a couch and read for a bit before your eyes started to droop and you let out another yawn, You brought your knees closer to your chest and leaned your head on Naib's shoulder, before you knew it you were asleep soundly with the Mercenary holding you in his arms.

Naib gave a small smile while he looked at you before he swooped you up in his arms and left the library.
He passed a few people like Eli, Melly, and others here and there until he came across Martha.
"I swear I didn't do anyth-" Martha cut him off with a small laugh,
"I know you didn't do anything Naib, there's no need to worry." The shorter female flashed him a small smile which he returned before Martha spoke again.
"I think you two would make a cute couple, You should ask her out." She said looking at him in his eyes.
The Mercenary laughed softly and looked down at you.
"I want to but.. there's not a hope in hell, that she would accept."

"You'll just have to see for yourself." Martha said before walking off, Naib sighed and brought you back to his room.
He placed you down on his bed and pulled the silk sheets over you before laying next to you and wrapping his arms around your waist.
He pulled you closer to him before falling asleep right next to you.
Had you really fallen asleep though..?
