You waved goodbye to your mom and watched as she waved goodbye to you. You looked at the forest in front of you and continued forward.
At first it all seemed so.. Beautiful. The vines that hung from the trees decorated the peculiar leafs  effortlessly, the animals that made themselves known by producing their own noises just complimented the engaging scenery itself.
You continued to walk through the forest with your feet leaving light sounds behind. Right foot, Left foot.

As you began to walk further into the forest, you watched as it became more.. Perfect. Beautiful flower bushes rose up from every corner seeming to have every single colour of the rainbow.
From Neon pink to Royal Blue, Sunny Yellow to a Sage Green.
Every colour under the sun.
A blue butterfly flew in front of your eyes before seeming to disappear. You stopped in your tracks and blinked before continuing to walk through the enticing beauty of nature.
Each step you took further into it made you feel like you were floating.
The blowing wind had seemed to stop after you had reached a certain part of the forest.
You blinked as all sorts of creatures, movement, anything and everything seemed to stop. Time seemed to stop.
You looked up watching a stunning dark orangey-purple leaf fall from a high tree and directly onto the floor in front of you.
You picked it up and looked at it in astonishment. The leaf lines were perfect and it seemed to have a million patterns on it at once.
You flipped it over to look at the other side, your eye twitched and you dropped it in disgust. You stepped on it watching it flake away before completing disappearing.
On the back of the leaf it read,
“Azrael.”

One of the.. 'Supposedly' worst 'creatures' that had seemed to.. Live in the forest many would say. You rubbed your hands on your jacket and proceeded forward with caution.
You watched as animals soon began to surround you and you sighed before stopping.
“What do you want, Azrael?”
Another leaf fell down and you went to step on it again before someone caught your shoe.
“My, my dear, you almost kicked me there.” You stopped in your tracks and looked at him in astonishment as he held your shoe.
He was.. Ethereal.

He had long dark blue/purple hair in a long braid that went down to right above his waistline, his skin was a deep violet and his eyes were a stunning magenta.
He had long blackish-purple horns on the front of his head and he held a leaf in his hand.
He titled his head and lifted an eyebrow as you didn't say anything
“Speechless?” You stared into his eyes watching the purple mix around, you didn't respond but instead just watch as his beauty entranced you.

“My dear, you truly are a perfect sight to look at, but.. Don't just leave me here to be the only one talking.” He did a fake pout before grinning as you replied.
You blinked before looking away, “Sorry! Uhm-.. You're just uh.. How do I say this um.. Really pretty..? Like,, really pretty.. Breathtaking, almost..”
He seemed to be slight taken aback as he stopped smiling before blinking calmly and smiling again, “Thank you, Dear. I could say the same about you. You humans really are fascinating creatures some times..”

“Sometimes..?” You repeated, He only nodded in response.
You tilted your head slightly, “Is that an insult or a compliment?” He lightly shrugged his shoulders, “I suppose you could take it as either way you want it to be taken as. I would much rather prefer if you took it as a compliment though as that was my only intention.”

He cleared his throat before standing up straight,
“Now,” He extended his hand out to you.
“I would like to take you somewhere.” He sighed before continuing, “I-I'm not gonna force you to come with me, but I would be delighted if you did.” You looked at his glittery nails on his extended hand and at his eyes before back to his nails.
You extended your hand out slowly with hesitation before enclosing your hand with his.
“Sure, Take me there uh..”
