   Two weeks later, Mariam told Ram of her findings. But was not satisfied with her results. Though she had said there was nothing going on between them but he had doubts. He demanded the entire details of Vin. Mariam had a lot of information about Vin but she didn't know he was Gayles' boyfriend. She gave all his details to Ram and washed her hands from any damages that might occur in the future.
   He invited Rennie to his house, with his plans well known to him. Rennie accepted the invite with the intention of finding more evidences against him in his own house. She began her journey to Ram's house late in the afternoon. Her instinct told her to contact her friends, in case there was a cause for alarm they would get to her on time before she lost her life. Stellie wanted to go with her but she went under her own steam and promised to find a way to call them if it was needed.
   Gayles was not aware of the matter at hand, the reason for Stellie's worry about Rennie visiting Ram, she had no idea of. And nobody was ready to drag her into that matter, the two friends desired to handle the matter a way that nobody would have a clue of. They could have told Gayles, but she had just started a new life, they didn't want her to risk her life again to rescue her friend and this time it was Rennie's suggestion.
Rennie together with Stellie was ready to fight for justice. After Rennie had entered into the house of Ram, she went straight to his living room where she saw the pictures of herself and Vin on the coffee table. No one brought into her thought why he reacted like that with her weeks ago, she did it herself. She went closer to the table, placed her bag down on the floor, and took a meticulous look at the photographs very well. When she was doing this, Ram was descending the stairs slowly. She panicked when he got closer to her. "What happened? Oh! you are not the in lady the photo right?", he said, not amused.
   Rennie stood up from the floor, "Where did you get those?", she asked.
   "Does it matter? Don't you think you should tell me what you were doing there alone with that guy or? I must say, he is sweet", Ram demanded with a grim face.
   "To your information, I have nothing to tell you and trust me you have no right to question me on what I choose to do with my life", she inculcated.
   "Ups - a - daisy!", he exclaimed. Ram pulled her to himself, "I have the right because you are mine and mine only. Get this into your empty head".
   She tried to escape but he had held her tightly, "Yours? I would prefer to die than be yours, a drug dealer". Ram mellowed by her words. He was extremely shocked how she came to know about his biggest secret.
   Rennie freed herself with all her strength, she run to the door where she could easily get away from him when he attacked. "You dare not try to harm me, else I will make sure you are immured for the rest of your days", she keelhauled him and hurried to her car.
   Ram fell motionless into his couch, he was completely dumbfounded. Things were out of his hand, he could not deal with the matter alone so he rushed to Jerome's house and convened an extraordinary meeting with all other colleagues . If he was going down he would do so with them, they had no alternative than to help him.
   At Jerome's place, all his counterparts were present at the meeting. He put forward the problem at hand and sought for their ideas. Some said her accusations were unfounded because she had no prove, the police would not investigate into such a baseless matter when they are on tenderhooks where they would start from. Some advised him to end her life if she would be menacing.
   But the unknown was her source for that information which meant she was not the only ignominious threat. If he managed to murder Rennie, her source of information would still be alive and that could ignite more  troubles. They were coming up with hotchpotch ideas so he dismissed them. He stayed with Jerome in his house when everybody was gone but it was also not helping so he left. The minute he stepped out of the house, Jerome remembered how Rennie had tricked him and got information from him.
   He was under the power of the tablets she had put in his drink back then so he was concussed when the meeting was taking place but now he was free and could remember all that happened.
   He immediately contacted Ram. He brought to light everything to him without a second thought about his life. Ram went ballistic with his friend even when he had disclosed the secret. He reversed back to Jerome's house this time he picked up a gun from his car and barged his way into the house. He found Jerome resting in his couch, he didn't let him say a word and just pointed the gun at him and shot him dead.
   The next thing he methought of doing was to attack Rennie. But he knew it wasn't going to be as easy as it seemed. He made a swift decision, that was, he called Rennie on phone, told her about how he had squeezed the truth out of his friend and escorted him to the pit of hellura. He also told her that the next he was about doing was to finish Vin if she does not meet him with all the evidences she had prepared against him. He showed her also the road he was using. Ram urged her to not play smart with him because he could finish off Vin at anytime. She followed all the directives he had given. Rennie sped fast on the same road he had showed her. As she saw Ram's car moving faster, she was scared she might not be able to save Vin and that she might end up offing an innocent soul. If even she was going to peg out, Vin should somewhat be saved.
   She contacted Gayles and told her all she was to know and pleaded with her to go faster to save their love, she would try to hamper Ram. Rennie hanged up and pulled up to overtake his car. She slammed on the brakes and the car juddered to a halt. Ram was overawed, how she had managed to get there so quick even before he had gotten to Vin. He saw bravery in her eyes as he stepped down, he didn't want to spare her a minute on earth, she might bring up something. He then shot her in the head and she fell like a tree that had been cut.
   Gayles was driving on the same road. She stopped when she saw Rennie's car, only to find Rennie lying in a pool of blood. She raised her up onto her lap, Rennie struggled to speak but she tried saying something. "Go and save him. He can't die because of me. Please save him!", she said. Gayles was not ready to leave her beloved friend in that condition but with pressure coming from Rennie, she called Stellie to hurry to the spot and save her. Stellie assured her she would be there on time with the ambulance before anything bad happened to Rennie so she should help Rennie into her car and go and save Vin. Gayles heed to her advice and did as she had said, when she was about leaving, Rennie pulled her back and said, "I am wearing a bulletproof vest. I knew he would do this, remove it and put it on. Please hurry and save our love!". She did exactly that and went through the short cut Rennie directed her.
   Fortunately for Ram, Vin was heading towards him. He waited for him to pass by and then crossed him. Vin got out of the car to see what was going on. They were arguing till Ram pulled out his gun at him. But before he fired Gayles duly got in his way. He was about to fire another but the police were on scene.
